Machida interview Regarding Shogun on 12/17/09
Machida, who was elected by Veja Magazine (equivalent to Time Magazine) as one of 100 most influential people in Brazil in 2009, was interviewed by SporTV Sensei program on Friday, December 17th 2009. The interview went on for 50 minutes and I only caught the last 25 minutes of the program. While searching online to see if I could find the rest, I only came across a small portion of the interview. Overall I thought Machida carried himself very well, and I wish I could have found the rest of the interview so that I could share it all the Machida fans (yes, myself included), specially the portion of the most effective strikes Machida landed. But, life is not fair and I could not find the rest of the interview, if anyone finds it please put the URL in the comments section. I have translated this small portion of the interview to share it with you guys.

Now I really want to see Lyoto say “props” in an interview heh.
Great find Orcus, hopefully someone will post the rest online soon.
Guillotine.
Wow, just wow!
This interview was very insightful. The way to beat Machida is to take away his legs, if you can do that Machida is no longer elusive thus no longer a threat. I wonder how Machida will adjust for Shogun for their next fight?
for all intents and purposes, just consider all my posts as works of satire.
The man with no legs can’t be leg kicked…
But seriously, blocking leg kicks is pretty important. Of course Lyoto would have to modify his stance a bit. But I remember that he blocked one or two low kicks in 5th round, so it can be done…

It's Machida's footwork that made him the champ
Shogun figured that out and brought the correct strategy to bear. Unless Machida makes another quantum step in his movement or decides to play a clinch/ground strategy I expect the rematch to look pretty much like the robbery.

Sorry for the very late post, but… I found the rest!
Here’s part 1, but the rest of it is NOT subtitled.
