[UPDATE] - Alex Davis, Thiago Silva' manager says Thiago is fine on the UG:

"Thiago is fine, trainning hard for a tough fight against Rashad. Thiago is an extremely determined and disciplined guy, and will give us a lot of great fights on his way to a title. I am proud to manage him!"

Is T. Silva really that well-rounded?

Damn, I wonder if Rashad has an answer for that left hook?

Thiago Silva eats a lot of shots every time he fights..

that’s why I think he loses this fight…Rashad has very good boxing, and I don’t think Thiago can be taking that many hits from him before going to sleep… (well unless he catches Rashad, which I doubt)

Plus Rashad has a tough noggin, and isn’t going down the way Jardine did from that left hook. I’m sure of it.
Silva on the other hand, can only take so much punishment. Rashad by comparison takes a lot more. Rashad in rd 1 or 2. Easy.

Yet he has no submission wins except for one. Perhaps he uses his BJJ in reverse to keep the fight standing?

He seems to use it to get the mount and beat the holy hell out of people.

Thiago stand-up, while powerful, just seems to stiff to win against Rashad.

I agree

Rashad moves much better in the standup department. He’s a smart fighter (unless he doesn’t get cocky) and I think he’ll use his wrestling to stay on top and avoid being submitted.

Assuming he doesn’t paw and shuffle his way into oblivion. He looked like he was fighting a scratching post when he fought Machida. He also hopped around a lot before throwing those paws. It seemed he only really engaged after he had been hit once or twice.

It’s definitely possible that Rashad could get caught. It’s not like he doesn’t take any shots when he’s fighting. I think he’ll give more than he takes though. Silva can be very flat footed when he fights.

That was my point. He takes a lot of hits but he rarely goes down, as opposed to Silva who has a record of it.

Man, Machida DESTROYED both of these dudes.

I honestly think that Jardine’s chin is shot, especially at the elite level.

I really wish it was Rampage vs Rashad, I’m definitely pulling for Rashad on this one, because i want to see him and Page go at it.
