Jones vs. Vera to be aired on Versus

"Jon Jones and Brandon Vera will meet in a light heavyweight headliner at a UFC event on March 21 in Denver, Sherdog.com has learned from multiple sources.

The event and its venue have not been officially announced by the promotion yet, though Sherdog.com has learned the event will air live on Versus.

Versus, which broadcasts the UFC’s sister promotion World Extreme Cagefighting, announced on Monday that it would air two live UFC events in 2010."

Pretty strong main event for the first UFC on Versus show

What day of the week is March 21? I am curious to see who else will be on this card. Is it going to be similar to the type of fighters the UFC gets on Fight Nights, or are they going to put more of the unknown prospects that haven’t gotten much camera time?

March 21= Sunday

Man, I, like MMAJUNKIE, thought that was a misprint by Vera, but apparently not. If this is true then that could be a hella-busy period for the UFC.

UFN on Versus- March 21
UFC 111- March 27
UFN (TUF lead-in) on Spike- March 31
UFC 112- April 10

Maybe no UFN as a TUF lead-in this time?

That’s pretty busy actually. Also, it surprises me because I don’t recall March being a strong month for the UFC, and I don’t remember March having that many UFC cards.
