Makes more sense, no use rushing someone in.

Hose vs Lawler would have been an awesome replacement fight though, too bad. I agree, makes sense.

Fights with a short notice afford both parties excuses in the case of a loss

Fights with this short of a notice are just plain crazy.

Hose would get battered

Mayhem made him look like a rookie standing, Robbie would shitkick him

In what strange world do you think Hose vs Lawler was a good replacement fight? Hose isn’t even close to the caliber striker that Lawler is nowadays. A patient Lawler punches Hose out pretty quickly.

There was not way they were going to get a competitive fight in this short time span, so they went ahead and tried to make it a fun fight, which it would be. Now, I guess you would have to know their past history in Hawaii (ICON) to know that they have been trying to make this fight happen over there for years and were never able to. I guess its the ICON fan in me that would have gotten excited over it.

No, they did the right thing. They canceled the fight, and it’ll allow Lawler to fight at the end of January instead.

Any fight between two guys not in the UFC that at least a dozen MMA fans have heard of makes sense in Supremacyland.

The only thing Jon Jones does better than Matt Hamill is hear.

That’s a WHOLE lot of fights. Plus, I am taking the situation into account. The right choice was made.

I’m sure Robbie Lawler also thought it would have been a competitive matchup.

I can’t imagine Lawler or Monte Cox are too happy.
He’s fought once in the past year and a half. I hope Strikeforce gets him on the Jan.30 card especially considering they’re not having an event in Feb.

And does anyone know if they’re moving the Antwain Britt fight to the Showtime card?

Probably

I’d rather see Travers/Nakamura, personally.

Didn’t see that. Thanks.

Justin Wilcox is replacing Travers

If he had trouble with Ishida’s cool rolling kimura-to-armbar, I can only imagine he’s going to have his hands full with Nakamura’s flying subs.
