Who would love to see Nick Diaz vs Bl Penn
Thats if Nick could make the weight and if Dana didnt hate him so much. But I think that would be a very intertaining fight.I can see Diaz taunting Bj after every exchange.Diaz would be able to hold his own on the ground and the stand up would be a war.I would also love to see Serra drop down to lw and give Bj a whirl. They had a good fight back in the day and both of them have improved there game sinse then.

NOT GOING TO HAPPEN
Diaz has put on a decent amount of size in the past 2 years. I would rather see him at 170 and make a run at GSP. I feel he is the biggest threat to the title if he comes back to the UFC. Plus B.J. will own any fighter at 155!!! The Serra fight must have been said jokingly so I won’t comment on that.

I would watch the fight
But there is only one winner.
The pre fight smack talk would be epic.

BI "Baby Insane" Penn
it’s an interesting fight but i don’t see how Diaz wins. and I think Serra get’s murked, though the smack talk would be epic there too and it’s a nice payday for Serra as his career probably settles down and he just runs his gym
We're just a million little gods causin' rain storms, turning every good thing to rust.
Would love to see this fight
and watch Diaz get OWNED…then maybe he would shut his yap
As I am in no way a fan of Diaz, I would love to see this fight. BJ would absolutely destroy Diaz. It would be laughable. Better yet, lets put Nate in there and let BJ break his middle fingers.

You can’t argue that nate is the only other guy at lightweight with the jujitsu level to compete with BJ though?? Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a shot after choking out Maynard……again.

hmmm..
nick is better than nate on the ground and joe stevenson clowned him in their fight.
nick cant be too much better than his broseph..this is all theory so dont qoute me..
but i do know that bj trained with the diaz brothers and jake sheilds in the past..so idk if it would happen but i give bj an advantage.
bj is an animal.

Nick may be better than Nate on the ground(probably only the bros know) but Nate definitely utilizes his jujitsu more in fights.

I seriously doubt
that Diaz takes the rematch. First off, Gray’s jiu jitsu has improved leaps and bounds, and his boxing has become a very dangerous weapon, while his wrestling has adapted even better for MMA.
Nate on the other hand has only marginally improved his Jits and Boxing, he’s basically the same fighter from the show with a little more experience, and with slightly better ground game and striking.
Gray will beat Nate up standing, and if/ when it goes to the ground, Gray will be on top, battering Diaz just like the last fight, but won’t gas this time because he’s not completely overtrained, and understands how to peak correctly. He will power out of any Diaz sub attempts, en route to either a (T)KO or a lopsided UD.

Agree to Disagree here
Nate still competes and does well in jiu jitsu competitions while training boxing with former champs. And to believe he did not take anything out of two decision losses to wrestlers is crazy, nate is young and learned alot from those fights. My opinion though only time will tell.

It’s not the worst idea to see Nick Diaz vs BJ Penn. The height and reach advantage that Diaz would have would pose an interesting problem for Penn in that none of the Lightweights that Penn has fought had that advantage. They both utilize boxing as their standup, so that would be interesting. I would still pick Penn to win, but it would be an interesting fight.
Im split because i like em both alot
Nick has a bunch of reach on Penn and better boxing than recent opponents. He also has top gracie jujitsu and guess who also has that drumroll BJ! I would be interested at 170 but it won’t happen. I’d rather seem BJ maul Fitch or Alves.
Nick Diaz will never make anything less than 170 ever again
and 155 is honestly the only weight I care about seeing BJ compete at. He’s shown time and again that he won’t/ can’t put the weight on correctly, and I don’t want to see anything less than the best BJ Penn there is.
Maybe with Marv he can finally put on the lean mass properly, but BJ is only a midsized LW as it is (walking around at 170ish out of camp, and walking at like 165 in camp), so he would have to put on QUITE a bit of muscle to be competitive with the top tier WW’s, who all seem to be enormous (Alves walking at 200, GSP is now 195ish, guys like Rumble Johnson & Saunders, etc).

Yip
The brothers and BJ have been taught by the gracies so it makes sense but there not training partners.
