Quote of the Day: Dana White on Chuck Liddell
"I'm not thrilled with it," White said. "It's not what I wanted. But like I said, I'm not his father. I'm not his dad. We'll see what happens after the Tito fight. I would like to see him hang it up after the Tito fight.
"That's my plan: He does one fight and then he retires – win, lose or draw."
- Dana White discussing Chuck Liddell's return to The Octagon following his coaching stint on the next season of The Ultimate Fighter. White spent much time in public debating with himself on if Chuck would ever fight again. It appears that in Tito Ortiz he has found a safe fight that is worth the money for both Chuck and the promotion.

I'm disappointed in these choices for TUF coaches.
I’d like to see the TUF show used to help bring attention less established contenders rather than milking the last bits out of past their prime fighters.

Better than using it to tie up champions for 6 months at a time.

That isn't the only other option.
How about some mid-tier guys that are up and comers. The type that could make alot out of some publicity push.

Not enough of a ratings draw for the UFC, I think.

Florian and Sanchez should be coaches. They need to have their long awaited rematch.

maybe Sanchez can be Chuck’s assistant and Florian can be Tito’s assistant

The picture above looks like Dana is about to slap Chuck in the face.
for all intents and purposes, just consider all my posts as works of satire.

Anyone else find it strange that they appear to be staring lovingly into each other’s eyes?

Sure, but Chuck still makes Dana green money, right?
I bet Dana hates seeing Chuck climb in again and make his company a boat load of money. I get these guys are friends and he would rather not see Chuck get hurt, but in the end they are grown men and they will make their own decisions, and Dana likes money, and Chuck likes fighting. As for this being Chucks last fight, don’t bet on it. I really think Tito will have a chance this time around, but if Chuck should get a win (or a loss), he will want to fight again, it is all he and alot of fighters know (look at guys like Couture in MMA, and almost any boxer (Foreman, Holyfield, Ali, etc).
On another note, why didn’t Dana have a Chuck Vs Keith Jardine rematch (would have made more sense), and a Tito Vs Couture (2) or maybe Wanderlei Silva (2). All these would have made more sense.

One More Fight for Chuck
I would believe this was Chuck’s last fight if he was fighting Kimbo, but that’s too big of a money match to leave on the table.

I disagree with many of you...
….I think it is cool that Dana cares for (uh-oh shall I say ‘loves’) Chuck so much. Obviously he looks at him as a brother and friend. I see no problem with that. Liddell is a grown man and can make his own decisions, but I see Dana White’s concern for his friend is rather humanizing.
In a biz sense, if Chuck is going to have ‘his last fight ever against his biggest rival’ you know damn well that will draw money.

I think Chuck will take Tito for a 3rd time, KO Kimbo and then ride off into the sunset on a cheap Vegas floozy.
Keep firing Assholes!
Fedor has accomplished nothing until he fights Kimbo.
