Keinosuke Yoshinaga (9-2, seen here avenging a loss to previously unbeaten Tetsuya Sano) won a pair of fights at last night's The Outsider event in Tokyo to become the promotion's first 65-70kg (143-154 lbs.) tournament champion.

Aren’t the guys who run this promotion the biggest thugs in Japan? Are the fighters they sign quality fighters?
It’s an “amateur” (six fights or fewer, I believe) promotion run by Akira Maeda, who was also started RINGS and ran K-1 Hero’s.
The shows do have a lot of thugs, hooligans and weirdos – none of whom are really “signed,” I’m sure – and yeah, some of them are quality. Mostly it’s a lot of raw talent (and some not-so-much-talent) honing their skills before moving on to a mid-sized promotion like DEEP or Pancrase, as Tomoya Kato and a few others have done.
