Your favorite MMA-ism's
An MMA-ism is the result of adding an apostrophe and the letter D to the end of a fighters name.
For example, Zulu + 'd = Zulu'd - To be beaten within the 1st minute of a match in furious and brutal fashion.

Fleur de Lis is also the symbol on the Quebec provincial flag. And is regarded by French Canadiennes as a symbol representing a “distinct” culture. Quite often you will hear someone from Quebec refer to themselves and other Quebecer’s as Quebecois(Kay-bek-wa). However, you probably won’t hear GSP saying it too much in English interviews, as seperatism is a very tense issue up here and, GSP being a smart man, he probably doesn’t want to rock the boat and alienate English speaking Canadian fans.
I am blinded by a sea of green.
The fleur-de-lis is also a symbol representing the Cajuns southern Louisiana, appearing on the flag of Acadiana. Of course, the most common association of the fleur-de-lis for most Americans is the New Orleans Saints. Interestingly, it’s also common to hear Québécois refer to themselves as such down here. We tend treat the French-Canadians like family (because we probably are).

Sorry to bring the UG, into this, but I’m pretty partial to Stand n Wang, the act of adopting a “stand n bang” strategy in spite of being a poor standup fighter and an excellent grappler. Named in honor of TUF 5 contestant Andy Wang.
Fighters who have exhibited Stand n Wang recently include Jorge Gurgel and Sean Sherk.
