I wish they offered these in higher quality. Would make great wallpaper.

I’ve seen it about 20 times now. That was a huge punch and the impact was loud as hell.

Fedor and the Cage

Anybody notice the punishment rogers was able to rain down on Fedor when he had him on the ground and pinned against the cage. With the cage, a heavier man has a real advantage in that he is able to better use his weight to “bully” a lighter opponent. Fedor handled it, but he took some big shots, and these shots would have never happened in the ring.

Notice the successful heavyweights in the cage are essentially super heavyweights. I congratulate Fedor, but I can’t help he was wishing it was a Pride ring and old pride rules. First the cage, and now you can’t even kick a guy on the ground. Life sucks for us little guys.

I don’t think the cage played a huge part in this fight but maybe Im wrong. I think Fedor just made a mistake with that submission attempt and underestimated the danger of having Rogers on top of you . We could see the same armbar attempt by Fedor in the Mark Hunt fight and that landed Hunt in side control.
Fedor is always trying to finish fights , sometimes it costs him his position …against Rogers it definitely was a bad move – yet he won anyway , broken nose and hand…this shows you need to fight Fedor with a shotgun if you want to win

My mistake – just watched the fight again and it was a kimura attempt by Fedor , not an armbar.
The way Rogers swept him was impressive . Rogers definitely earned his place in the top 5 imo. Don’t think Frank Mir , Couture or Nogueira can handle him.

Let’s not get crazy here Joel. I’m the biggest Rogers fan here probably, but I don’t guarantee Brett any of those wins. That was a hell of a knock out though. Not even ten seconds before that happened I was like, “Brett, what are you doing?” right after telling my girlfriend “I hope Fedor doesn’t KO him. Armbar him, take him down and GNP, but please, don’t drop him….Holy shit!” It’s like he caught Rogers pissing on his favorite sweater and just let loose with all the fury of all the is good and decent.
