Strikeforce Named as EA MMA "Premier League"
Not only is EA Sports getting the Strikeforce brand, it's getting some of its talent. That includes commentary team Frank Shamrock and Mauro Ranallo, ring announcer Jimmy Lennon Jr. and referee "Big John" McCarthy. Strikeforce fighters Brett Rogers and Jake Shields will join the previously announced Fedor Emelianenko, Jason Miller, Randy Couture, Jason "Mayhem" Miller, Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal, Gegard Mousasi and Renato Sobral.

I hope this game lets us make matches across weight classes. I’d love to see Fedor armbar Mayhem’s strip of doom.

Yeah
A trailer, or some gameplay. I think they’re using the engine for their pre-fight breakdowns, too.

Damn this is looking bad for the UFC there are a lot of casual mma/ gamer fans that know Randy, “Mayhem”, the Strikeforce name, Big John, the Shamrock name, Babalu, etc, etc. Not to mention EA could probably buy out THQ in the next couple years.
NOOOOOOO
Actually, the inevitable end-game to all this is that EA will eventually acquire the UFC license and keep the rest of those fighters and promotions in video game limbo after doing so, to prevent competing game companies from creating alternative products. It’s the EA way!
