Couture vs Nogueira is the only good fight there, the others are so lopsided/fast.

as much as i am a fan of the UFC, i’m also a fan of quality first-run fights on national broadcast television.

so not only can Fedor KO Rogers tomorrow night, he can also cockpunch Dana White (provided the ratings are good).

Good idea… Show the Griffin vs Silva fight while promoting UFC 106.

This is what the UFC should be trying for every end of the year card to look like. The UFC is getting so big now its almost like they should know that the fans want more than what we get as it is. I would love to see all of these guys plus more all on one card. Imagine how awesome an end of the year event with every champion defending his title on the pay per view and then all the other non champion big named guys fight on the main and under card for free on spike would turn out. I’m sure it would break record numbers if they had a show looking like this.

OK

I have imagined it and it is truly awesome.

Now imagine just how terrible the events will be in January, February & March following that show. Or how terrible the events of October and November of prior to that show would have been while setting up your super card. Do you really want to sit through five or six months of dogshit shows just to get one whoop-ass year-end event?

Running ‘super cards’ works great if you are only doing four to six shows a year. But when you are doing 20, it becomes logistically impossible without completely decimating the shows around that super card.
