If I were Rogers,

I would worry more about the sweater than takedowns. Steal that sweater and you are half way there.

such a kiss up… “it’s a beautiful sweater.” lol, that thing is horrendous

that said, they need to sell those, I’d totally buy one

Simply… Fedorable.

Such hard hitting journalism once again.

I think Ariel is more concerned about a getting a real human reaction out of people rather than the standard canned answers. If that means asking goofy questions, so be it. How many other reporters have actually got Fedor to break his stoic exterior and chuckle?

Ariel is the man.

serioiusly, the best way to get a non answer out of fedor is ask him about fighting.

what's with the hate?

I actually loved that interview.. and wanderlei loves it too. haha. :)

I don’t care for the questions at all. After seeing Cofield grill Logan Stanton in that awkward interview about her tits, I’m just turned off by the questioning. I suppose if it was one question at the end of an interview, I wouldn’t have a problem.

cofield talking about logan's tits, and breast implants were VERY unprofessional..

that’s a big no no when you talk about that to women.. it’s kinda disrespectful in my opinion..

Ariel asking about a sweater is a different story..

by Anton Tabuena on Nov 5, 2009 9:53 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

very disrespectful

like what did he expect?
‘Yeah I think I need implants?’
Come on ….
i think she’s got a great body

The problem was that she said she didn’t really need them, then he badgered her about it.

It’s a different story, but it still falls in line with the whole… who gives a shit. I suppose if it was at the tail end of an interview, I’m fine with it.

plus,

ariel got to make fedor show a bit of emotion.. that’s better than 99% of interviewers can manage..

Look at the one with him talking about rocky, and staring contests.. those were funny questions, and he didn’t even react at all..

by Anton Tabuena on Nov 5, 2009 9:57 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

He had a regular interview with Fedor yesterday so he thought it would be better to ask him a new question.
He thought right, I’ve never heard Fedor laugh before, it was Fedorable and terrifying

If this is the case, then I'm okay with the question.

Yeah, prepared answers to common questions asked 10 times already is so much better.

I bet Fedor speaks english fluently and just uses language barriers to remain out of the limelight, jokes on us!

I know that certain Russian hockey players speak english, however aren’t comfortable enough to be interviewed in it, because of the possibility they may not translate correctly, so they leave it to professional translators.

There are plenty of major league baseball players that do this. Most notably Ichiro Suzuki and Vladimir Guerrero. That just don’t want things being misunderstood.

His interview shirt looks similar to the old CCCP hockey jerseys.

I was watching his face while she translated – knew he’d crack a smile when she got to “sviter.”
