His fight with Okami was the best fight on the last show!

Company MAN!
Is anyone surprised after his Youtube video where he basically said that Dana was God and he’d do time for the UFC?

Sonnen is smart, the best way to get off the undercard is to get people talking about you. He is utilizing this free publicity well.
Yeah...
You’re right.
I really hate Sonnen now, so he has done a fantastic job in becoming a heel. I would love nothing more than to see Antonio McKee sign with the UFC, be pitted against Chael Sonnen in a dark match, and abruptly curb stomp him into a wrestling hell of attrition that Sonnen would easily lose to McKee in the late rounds. Just for kicks, I want to see the commission five round the fight.

His mouth can get him to the maincard, but the way he fights will always be putting him back on that undercard.

What about Okami? Wasn't that a good fight.
His second fight against Filho was the worst fight i’ve ever seen.
well this would've been a good comment
had it been made before he beat the 4th best MW..

The same 4th best MW that’s been consistently put on the undercard because of the way he fights as well?

he still beat okami.. the one people have been clamoring for a title shot? You know, the fight with two “boring” guys, that ended up being not boring?
by Anton Tabuena on Nov 6, 2009 4:27 AM EST up reply actions
That’s great that he beat him and that he finally got to take place in a non boring fight in which he didn’t lose, but that still doesn’t change anything. Every fighter gets one good fight.
And yea a just because a few crazy folks wanted Okami to get a title shot and beat down by Silva doesn’t change anything either. =P

And for those of us who have spent years complaining that Okami was overrated, as evidenced by his loss to Franklin, this is still a good comment.
Just because he got KTFO FTW over Anderson Silva didn’t make him all that great.

You may hate him ...
… but Sonnen continues to be one of the best quotes in the business. He’s always good for a controversial or humorous soundbite. I’m sure interviewers absolutely love the guy.
He's also bankable
I’ll pay to watch him tap any day.
(Even Especially if he later pretends that he didn’t.)
