Just got my hands on some 2007 results from Guam, and came across this story. Photo by bert671; UG post by Roxanne Modafferi.
"My teammate Yoichi Fukumoto just did something amazing, and I want it recognized. He fought IN THE POURING RAIN, got beat up, and managed to win via arm bar. I was reading the blog of his cornerman Iida and they were saying it was like a nightmare...how the heck do you train for fighting in the rain? I can't imagine!"
His opponent was Alex Castro.

Holy Mother of Awesome.
The mat is my church, the ground is my heaven, Jiu-Jitsu is my religion. And once you hit the ground you're in my world. My world is like the ocean, I’m like a shark and most people don't even know how to swim - Draculino

probably one of the coolest things i’ve ever seen. insert the thousand movies that have tried to have an awesome fight in the pouring down rain scene.
Gatti. Dekkers. Pele. Aoki. Kang. Vanderlei. Basillio. Harry Greb.

In Idaho, it's illegal to f--- a porcupine. You know why? Because someone tried it.

Thi is just sickening, the fighters shouldn’t have to deal with this crap! Why could they not find a ring indoors?
for all intents and purposes, just consider all my posts as works of satire.
