Tito Ortiz Wants a Third Fight Against Chuck Liddell
Promoted from the Fan Posts by Kid Nate.
"I know I’ve lost two matches. I still think I can beat him, and I still think that’s a big fight. I still want that fight. That would be awesome.
I think if I call him out enough times I think he’ll be a man and step up. Why wouldn’t he? That’s a huge fight and a big payday for him. It will be good.
I think we can see one more. Why not? I’m down. I’m always game. You know me, I’m not afraid to fight anyone, even though there was a picture that was painted a long time ago that wasn’t true. I’ve fought him twice already. I’m not afraid.
He already proved he’s not my friend, so the hell with it. I’ve got nothing to lose. Lets make some money, and this time I’m going to kick his ass."
--"The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" Tito Ortiz, who will be making a return to the Octagon against Forrest Griffin, talks to MMAWeekly about having his eyes set on yet another rematch, a third shot at Chuck Liddell.

No.
Tito should call out someone who’s sure of his fight career and isn’t considered washed up. Rashad anyone?

Tito want’s a chance to avenge his losses. No better time to beat him than right now when Chuck is over the hill.

Yeah, only you cant really call it avenging your losses
after the guys career is pretty much definitively over.
Arguing on the internet is like being in the special olympics, even when you win you are still retarded.

I still think Chuck would knock out Tito… even if he is over the hill.
by constantin3 on Nov 4, 2009 10:13 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Well I’m sure Chuck still has some KO power, and while his skills have diminished quite a bit I still think he can beat some of the mid talent guys.
It’s really hard to tell what place he is in to be honest, all of his opponents that he has lost too have been a champion (with the exception of Jardine who is still above average). The fact that he lost to them all by KO or TKO is very devastating however (again with Jardine as the exception).

tito should make sure he gets past forrest before calling anyone out…

While he's at it
he should call out Ken Shamrock again, I mean if he’s down to fight Chuck (who he’s fought twice), then he should be even more down to fight Shammy. Hell, let’s bring back Guy Mezger and Elvis Sinosic for Tito to fight while we’re at it.

somewhere in a land far far away
Ken Shamrock is getting into roid raging mode, and will soon call out Tito Ortiz, saying that he has lost 3 times, but that he is still the better fighter and that he might be a 44 year old fighter, but he has a mind of a 13 year old.

Tito Ortiz Wants a Third Fight Against Chuck Liddell Money

absolutely. not knocking him at all.
by woooburn on Nov 3, 2009 11:21 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Well that. A thousand times that.
But also, you’ve got to figure that Tito’s watched Chuck’s most recent fights and figures that he can finally get the best of Chuck.
It’s not a bad match to make, although they’d have to do if after Chuck v. Kimbo.

Not just money, he sees chuck is in a bit of a slump… And Tito feels that if he can win their last fight, he’ll have had the last laugh. I hope chuck just retires. Or even better yet if chuck ko’s Tito yet again, that would be priceless
This is just like the aka fighters calling out Hughes.
by kanodogg on Nov 4, 2009 12:05 AM EST via mobile reply actions 0 recs
This is way more predictable than the aka guys calling out Hughes. I absolutely knew that Tito would do this. Why wouldn’t he. I remember when he was in limbo before the back surgery he was calling out Kimbo (not long after the Tank Abbot fight). It’s a win win win for Tito. He gets lots of money. He could very well beat Chuck. And it also gives him a win and a shot of relevancy.

This is not like the AKA fighters calling out Hughes, because they haven’t lost twice to him already.
by hlebtasic on Nov 4, 2009 1:17 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
This isn’t like the AKA fighters calling out Hughes. Jon Fitch and Josh Koscheck are at the top of the 170lbs division. Tito Ortiz is not at the top of the 205lbs division.

Not yet. His showing against Machida and Evans shows that he still has it. Plus the fact that with a win or two he will be back in the top ten I’m sure.

Hanging with Machida and scoring more points on one of my favorite fighters in Evans in a nice feat. With that being said. I hope Griffin puts him down and finishes him quickly.

YES!
This fight actually makes sense. A third fight would sell huge numbers. Tito should try and avenge his loss to Randy also.
for all intents and purposes, just consider all my posts as works of satire.

Chuck has obviously declined
But I don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t just ko Ortiz again. His takedown defense is still solid. The fighters he’s lost to, mainly Rampage, Rashad, and Shogun, are all hard hitting and accurate. Jardine is obviously a different story. I don’t see how Ortiz has the tools to beat him.

THe greatest possible outcome is Chuck taking this fight and knocking Tito into obscurity. Then in 15 years I see a documentary showing Tito squandering all his money. Then they show clips of him serving drinks in a bar wearing no shirt and a bow-tie. Best case scenario. A guy can dream.

Awesome Comment
Dooda, this is the best comment I have ever seen. I would watch that documentary, it would be like the wrestler, except you hate Tito.

I know thanks. Hopefully it will get tons and tons of recs and I can finally feel validated and loved, despite my distaste for Tito.

Lets Just Book It
UFC 113
Liddell vs Ortiz III
Hughes vs Trigg III
Arlovski vs Slyvia IV
Maybe have Shamrock vs Ortiz IV on the undercard since the fight will end 15 seconds and serve as a cheap check and warm up for Tito.

13 is a jinxed number too. who does not want to see matt. m pickup frank t.
and and carry him for an embarrassing five seconds then bring him down backwards for the choke. you know tito needs the money to support jenna jameson’s lifestyle and i don’t thik j.j is staying with him if he is serving drinks at planet hollywood casino. peace.

It’s not like Jenna needs Tito’s money – as far as I know, she’s making quite a comfortable living.

Hey . . .
if Rampage can get his final revenge against a shell-of-his-former-self Wanderlei Silva, why can’t Tito get after Liddell after losing twice?
by mason_beer on Nov 4, 2009 6:30 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
Its funny
that after ducking Chuck for so long when Tito was the champ, Tito now sees an easy win against a high profile but past his prime Chuck as redemption. Tito doesn’t just want this for the money he would get for this fight cause if he does beat chuck it will set him up for an even bigger payday after. Machida if he loses his rematch with Shogun, Rashad cause of the draw, Hell why not Randy if he gets by Vera. These are all good fights that Id pay to see.
by bucco69 on Nov 4, 2009 7:18 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
He doesn’t want to call out Rashad, Machida or Evans because he knows he will lose those fights… I’m tired of everyone saying that Tito was close to subbing machida, triangle wasn’t even close to being locked in
by kanodogg on Nov 4, 2009 7:51 AM EST via mobile up reply actions 0 recs
Rashad, Machida, or Evans? For the record I’m almost entirely sure Machida said he would have passed out had Tito not switched to an armbar attempt.

If Machida starts getting knocked out left and right, Tito will demand a rematch with him too.
by Razzel on Nov 4, 2009 1:38 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Yeah, just thinking it’s funny that of the four UFC fighters in his weight class that Tito has lost or had a draw against, he calls out the retired one.

"Different Strokes" reunion
I would love to see Phillip Drummond and Gary Coleman do another reunion show, but that doesn’t mean its a good idea. There are two things going on here:
1. Most people would love to see Tito die a horrible death and embarrassment first would be even better.
2. Chuck Liddell beating him three times would provide said embarrassment
3. No one wants to see Tito make a penny – he’ll make a killing to lose again. It would sell tickets.
4. In the unlikely event Tito were to win, I would start watching WWE. Since that is about the worst thing I could think of, I hope they don’t fight. The risk isn’t worth the reward.

Who wants to see Tito die? Show of hands...
thats coldblooded man. He may be a loudmouthed, brash, annoying guy….but I believe he’s actually a good guy. He sells himself well. But he’s all about causes (PETA, the troops, fighters’ rights, etc). I like the guy, I respect his abilities, and I certainly don’t want him to die or even go broke.
Welcome to the Machida Error.
