Good fight. Appropriate step up in competition for Sotiropoulos
Not that I condone facism or any ism for that matter. Isms are in my opinion, not good. A person shouldn't believe in an ism, he should believe in himself.
I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me". Good point there, after all he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. Wouldn't change the fact I have to bum rides off of people.

I think this may be to big of a step up in competition. I was kinda hopeing George would fight Nate Diaz next. Then give him a top 10-15 guy. I fear Joe may win this handily.

This is a double step for Sotiropoulos. I agree that Nate Diaz would have been a better choice. He’s one of those guys that I’m always rooting for, but I don’t see him taking this.

I agree
George Sotiropolous is one of my favorite fighters, but going from Jason Dent to Joe Stevenson is a really big jump in competition. There are fighters like Spencer Fisher or Sam Stout that would seem like the next step up in competition. Stevenson has fought a lot of tough fighters like BJ Penn, Diego Sanchez, and Kenny Florian, and has beaten the likes of Nate Diaz, Kurt Pellegrino, Gleison Tibau, and Spencer Fisher. If Sotiropolous wins, he will definitely be in the top mix in Lightweight, but I can see Joe utilizing his wrestling to take this. It might suck for the audience if George loses because it will be in Australia, but it would be huge if he wins.

I have no idea why,, but I’m a Joe Daddy fan all the way. Probably the same reason I’m a Phil Baroni fan.
Ricky Hatton came closer to beating Manny Pacquiao than Marquez did to beating Floyd.

No one can
fault you for being a fan of someone, I like Big Daddy too, but this is a fight thats gonna be good, not too sure who’s gonna win this one.

Soritopoulos looks like a child of Pacino and Stalone…
…and he will be the first fighter to tap someone with multiple guard pass…

This is surprising. I expected George to get another prospect near his level first like Fabricio Camoes or Terry Etim. Anyone would have been a step up from Jason Dent. The Aussie crowd should help him, but still I give the edge to Stevenson — he’s been on fire since moving to Jackson’s camp.

Joe Daddy will take a decision here.

Yeah, I agree with the consensus
Daddy is going to be too much for George.

If Joe can stuff Georges takedowns,
which I think he can, he might be able to get a TKO on the feet, or at least a knockdown followed by elbows

On paper this looks like a good fight, but i actually think that Joe will just try and do the same thing that he did to Nate Diaz and just turn this into a wrestling match and try to control the takedowns.
But something inside of me is pulling for George to stuff the takedowns (if they do happen) and take home that arm!

If Sotiropolous can use the reach advantage unlike Nate Diaz, I think he has a good chance to win a decision.

Great Fight
Looking forward to this one. I gotta go with Joe because he seems like a different, better, and more intelligent fighter since the move to Greg Jackson’s camp. I love George’s game but I think Stevenson will be smart and too much for George to handle.

I can’t wait to see this fight! After 106 I was thinking he would be great on this card. Hope to see some more 10th planet, maybe a twister?

I love to see George fight, his ground game is always impressive.

Hmm if george can pull this off he will be right in the title hunt. As people have stated tho if he does indeed win this he has guys like Maynard, Kenny, and Guida waiting for him, he will not get through those guys.
Shoulfd have fought Joe daddy level fighter after another 1 or 2 wins

![Mirko Cro Cop training with a real camp:
Mirko now trains 1 time per day. After he loss to JDS he decided to go train under the world famous Muay Thai expert Ivan Hypollite of Vos Gym.
"If only I was this smart at the age of 20. After all this I realize that you can not prepare well without a real camp and an authoritative coach. That's the biggest mistake in my career. I was to lazy to go train at an elite camp."
"For example Hyppolite kills me on the pads and then I spar with three partners in a six minute round."
But didn't you do that in your own gym with your croatian sparring partners?
"I did, but then I couldn't spar to KO my sparring partner because those were mostly people who were training with me out of favor to me."
"In Amsterdam it's a battle for life and death. I go for the KO and so does my sparring partner. In the future I think I will do 4 (consecutive) week preparations in Amsterdam."
Mirko departed for Australia today.
