Looking back on this season, it'll be highlighted by three things: Kimbo Slice, Matt Mitrione's constant injury problems, and fighters gassing like oil lanterns.
And guess what, crackers, we get two hours of it this week! Hoo-f'n-ray!
Brendan Schaub, surprise surprise, joins Roy Nelson in the semi-finals. This week we found out which pair of James McSweeney, Marcus Jones, Darrill "Military Titties" Schoonover, and Matt Mitrione (?) join them.
Like I said last week, you've made it this far. You know you're gonna tune in and watch all two hours, hating yourself all the while. So join us at 9:00 PM EST to discuss episode 11!

I dono, I enjoyed this season. Maybe because there is shit on TV worth watching these days and while a lot of fights this season were duds they still walked circles around the rest of what was on TV.
Jones, Shaub and Nelson are all decent enough to survive in the UFC HW division IMO, maybe not the upper echelon yet but better than a lot of other orgs HW division fighters anyway.
I liked a lot of the personalities too, less about the douchebaggery but more on how squirrely some of these people are which is fine reality TV to me.
I can’t help but think the Kimbo thing backfired for them but a lot lesser extent that Kimbo backfired for EXC but I think he gained a new respect from a lot of the hardcore fans with his enthusiasm to try and learn and willingness to fight.
Had Kimbo not fought so early on the show I feel he would have faired better
He has learned some skills so only time will tell. Since he is fighting Alexander in the finale Id say there will be no more Kimbo on the show.

I checked out the spoilers on Wikipedia – looks kind of legit, maybe not, but it sounds interesting, I can’t wait to watch.

Though I know most people on facebook are full of shit,
is it possible that the episode has aired already in Australia? That wouldn’t make much sense if so. If Dana’s twitter as all smiley faces then we know that Roy lost.
I watched this episode yesterday.
It’s an above average episode for the season, and the fights aren’t the sloppy messes we’ve seen earlier.
I like using semi-colons; they make me feel smart.

I’m not really high on Jones. I had Schoonover rated over Jones prior to this season, but I think Jones winning that fight is a given just based on size and power, especially since Schoonover isn’t explosive at all. Jones beating McSweeney would be a given, but Schaub is a future top-10 fighter. I believe he’ll be standing at the end.

He seems to have real talent on the ground, but he’s already been knocked out twice by nothing fighters. Anybody with the ground game to last with him will whip him on the feet, IMO.

They’re still exhibition bouts because they aren’t logged with the commission or something like that. If they were official anyone could find out the results from the athletic commission before the fights aired.

It’s easier to hold when you can punch to the face though. Its hard for a guy on the bottom to work on the top guy’s hips when he has to block his face
punching upsets your center of gravity, and the bottom guy works the hips by bucking and shrimping.
marcus lost it because schaub exploded with a buck to get marcus off center. BS then showed the arm when he benched pressed him off to escape, but big baby never caught the arm, and he didnt surf to keep his place. he was just sleeping.

Roy's situation is new for TUF
this is the first time there is a true seasoned veteran MMA fighter that has wallowed in the minor leagues get a shot for the contract. I think despite the way he acts, there is a hunger in Nelson that is deeper than these young kids who think they are indestructable. He’s fought Arlovski, Rothwell, among others. Pretty big names.
