Ron Foster, the matchmaker for the up-and-coming Shine Fights promotion, today confirmed with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that the organization has signed Rua to an exclusive three-fight U.S. deal.

The Garv.com was tipped off that the young Shine Fights promotion is continuing to thrive and show promise by reeling in impressive acquisitions to their growing roster.
The latest signing is Luta-Livre wizard and Renovacao Fight Team member Luciano Azevedo, who is best known for being the only man to beat (and finish) Jose Aldo, who is the newly crowned WEC champion and #1 featherweight fighter in the world.
Recap: Ninja Rua, Luciano Azevedo, Daniel Acacio, and Amilcar Alves were all announced as signedfighters to Shine Fights.

Strikeforce didn’t want to pick him up because he wants too much money and was destroyed by Lawler and Radach.

I think they are paying very well. They signed Mayorga and a few others. I forgot how much he wanted, but I believe it was like 50K.
Murilo Rua – $25,000 (plus $25,000 win bonus) when he fought Villasenor a while ago for EliteXC.
