Megumi Fujii improved to 19-0 on Monday with a first round armbar win over "Windy" Tomomi Sunaba at "Revolutionary Exchanges."
Thanks to MMA Berlin for uploading the video. They've got their own unbeaten fighter (Alexandra Sanchez, 2-0) facing Tomoko Morii in JEWELS on December 12th.

hopefully they’ll trinkle down from somewhere in a few days.

Mmmmm that's good
I loves me some Megu. She always makes it seem like her opponents have zero business being in the ring with her.

Because they don't?
Tomomi Sunaba is now 0-4-1 in her last five, with an overall record of 12-12.

Well, she just fought the top two females in Japan in consecutive months, and her other recent losses weren’t against slouches either.
Record isn’t everything. Windy was certainly outmatched, but she’s a tough broad and definitely had a chance going into this fight.
Megu’s just too good right now.

Yeah, but still.
Junior Dos Santos, coming off 3 wins against two top 10-15 opponents and one fellow up-and-comer, still has no business fighting Fedor. He’s a tough guy, and definitely has a chance with his heavy hands, but he’s still almost guaranteed to lose. And nobody would excuse the matchmaking by saying “Fedor’s just too good right now.”
Sorry if this comes off as being too hostile, it’s not intended to be at all, just trying to provide counterpoint. Megu is certainly an insanely talented individual and is the tops of her division. To have her fighting somebody on a slump like that doesn’t feel right to me, and people praising her without context for demolishing lesser competition like that doesn’t feel right either.

Who really can hang with Megu in Japan, though?

Yeah, and unfortunately there’s a bunch of behind-the-scenes politics keeping both of those fights from happening.
To pdl – I wasn’t trying to imply that Windy was an ideal opponent for Megu at this point, but I also don’t doubt that it was the best fight they could’ve put together for this show. Until Strikeforce (or a promotion of that caliber) starts a 115- or 125-pound women’s division, Miku won’t be facing the level of competition she should or could be.

Fair enough
I have a pretty limited understanding of JMMA compared to USMMA, so I’ll take your word on the politics. Any chance you could elaborate on the most specific points of it? I’m the kind of person who needs to learn everything available, so… yeah. I’d love to know more about that.

I’d love to know too since watching her abuse adolescents will wear-out its welcome on me someday. I suppose.
