Apparently the “Couture” name comes with a $9k guarantee plus what you’re actually worth.

    That was...

The most comical fight I saw all weekend.

I mean, she got her fucking ass kicked badly by a way superior striker in Vera.

she probably set women’s mma back a little

she also displayed that she actually is a fighter and didn’t look for a way out…i commend her.

    I don't think

that toughness has ever been an issue, though. I mean honestly- she fought through 3 hard rounds against Rose w/ a completely broken jaw. It’s just that she isn’t a good fighter at all

    true..

she is tough, but isn’t really that skilled.. If she wants to continue fighting, she shouldn’t be put up against those very talented females anymore.

then it comes down to the promoters who think it’s a good idea to put her against a woman with really good muay thai. she displayed a solid chin and the willingness to fight. i’m okay with that. also why do people hate her? she convinced randy to start up a franchise of gyms. i don’t see this as an issue.

    what?

I don’t hate her.. I just think that she should be fighting people on her level.. I don’t want to see more beatings like that.

He didn’t say YOU hate her, he said “people” hate her, which I believe is true.

Haven’t seen an ass kicking that bad in a long time.

Crazy that Kerry and Kim… with a total of 3 fights between them get paid more than Woodley.

lets see what vera can do with sarah kaufman.

yes i am obsessive, obnoxious, in your face and all about covering the spread. those are my good qualities.

I hope she does well if they do set it up, but I think it's too early for her in my opinion..

make her get a couple more fights, and experience in before stepping in against someone like kaufman..

agreed. i like watching kaufman fight. she has skills and can take punishment.

You know this fight only happened...

..so Strikeforce could say “Couture vs Vera” on a poster.

If that’s what the main events are being paid, imagine the Ramen eating going on at the other end of the card.

Kind of hard for me to take Couture serious as a fighter when the only time she hasnt looked out matched is when she was fighting that one girl that looked like she would rather be watching soap operas while tuning out her screaming children than fighting in a cage.

by Rabbit915 on Nov 23, 2009 9:09 PM EST reply actions

    She can't fight.

But that split jaw she got was all sorts of nastay. Respect for not crumbling to the floor in a shrieking mess after that shot.

Kim Couture just isn't that good

It seems like Kim likes MMA and likes being around it, but she just hasn’t picked it up all too well. Kerry Vera was just too much for her, and Kerry actually has some promise in the 135 lb Women’s Division while Kim Couture offers nothing more than a name. I don’t even think that Kim could take on Shayna Baszler or Meisha Tate, or any of the decent 135 lb female fighters (she’d get run over by Sarah Kaufman, who I feel could be the top of that division).

Hopefully Kim takes that $10,000 and invests it in a striking coach.

or some sort of technical school for her future.
