I don’t know if its a confirmation I’d tweet it’s a go to even if I wasn’t sure.

I hope this fight takes places, I’m really looking forward to it. I think Vitor is an extremely difficult match up for the Spider because he is used to having a huge advantage in striking. Vitor punches faster and harder and is almost as accurate, Spider has better combos.

Thanks for the carry over

I seem to be in the minority on this one. I don’t get the argument that Vitor needs to prove himself inside the UFC for a title shot. It’s never been the rule and he fought good competition with impressive victories outside the UFC.

I think you are correct on Vitor’s standing offence but, on the defense I don’t think he moves his head enough to get past Anderson

Ok so am I the only one that finds something wrong with the whole “I came in and gave a killer peformance so i get the title shot”

i.e. Brock Lesner

I thought Brock getting a title shot was a bit much, but that’s more about Randy wanting a big money fight than the UFC’s machinations. Remember, they wanted him to fight Coleman.

Regarding Vitor, he’s had several impressive performances, and he’s the highest ranked middleweight that hasn’t either 1. lost their last fight in devastating fashion (Maia) or 2. has already been dominated by Anderson (Henderson and Marquardt).

Hmm….you make a valid point that I am unfortunate enough to counter. I retract my earlier statement.
