Quote of the Day: Tito Ortiz Talks Anderson Silva
Chad Dukes: "Anderson Silva has expressed interest in fighting you, and that's a guy that's looking for a big payday. Clearly you pull in pay-per-view numbers, people pay to watch you fight. There's a guy like that that wants to fight you, you've seen the strengths he has, you see how tough he is for people to try to fight.
Tito Ortiz: "Well... it's funny that Anderson Silva wants to fight me. I guess you know you're famous when a world champion can't get the Pay-Per-View buys and wants to fight someone who gets him more Pay-Per-View buys. That says a lot about my name, and I've got to thank him for calling me out, that's awesome."

I’d pay to see Anderson demolish Tito, that is after Anderson fights Vitor at 131 years old.

There’s something to what Tito is saying. I’d put it this way: the better fighter isn’t always the biggest draw. That’s certainly true in this case.

A rare Tito Ortiz photograph, pictured without sunglasses.

Let’s see how Tito looks in this fight first, but how great would that fight be? Tito shouting and getting in Anderson’s face, saying how he’s gonna demolish him and walk right through him…and then Anderson walks out and rearranges Tito’s face…classic.

If Tito somehow demolishes Forrest inside the first round (which I don’t think will happen) then Anderson vs. Tito would make sense. I wouldn’t mind watching that fight.

OMG I would pay so much money to watch Silva shut him up. I can see it now “Silva miraculously agrees to fight Ortiz with one arm!”

Anderson wants more money
That is why you hear things like this and Mir. He’s tired of not getting as much money when he fights a Leites or Cote or even Henderson.
I’m surprised he hasnt thrown out fighting Lesnar or Liddell.

He has thrown out fighting Lesnar, I think.

when did he call out Fedor? Last I heard, Silva himself said that Fedor would beat him…

it says anderson silva's handlers. they might have been joking but i think at a
catchweight of 215 or 220 it could happen. fedor could sure lose some weight. strikeforce listed him at five feet 11 inches 232 pds. he had a belly.

I know! The dude hasn’t fought in over four months! Wrap up your injured elbow and get your ass back in the cage, Anderson!

Scratch that, it hasn’t even been four months. Still, though!!!!

I noticed Tito says nothing about being a better fighter than Silva, cause deep behind that cocky ass smile, he knows that he’s not on par.

Nowhere in there did I hear Tito say he would accept the fight or how he would or even could beat Silva. Tito has a bunch of talk, but inside that huge noggin of his he has some kind of brain that makes him dodge or not accept fights until there is no other option for him!!

Can someone send me a link of Anderson saying he wanted to fight Tito?
I’ve only heard Tito call him out a few months ago talking about how if he keeps stepping into the LHW division he’s gonna have to teach him a lesson…
Well either way i’d love to see Anderson smash him…

Tito needs fights like the Griffin fights, bit PPV draws that pay his bills, a fighters chance of winning so he can keep his street cred. He doesn’t need champion caliber fights to embarass him. No one wants to see a Griffin rebuilding his career fight for an Ortiz.

He's obviously scared.
He didn’t even mention anything on the topic of the fight. He didn’t say if he would want to fight, he’s a big pus and he knows it.

Sounds like a great matchup.
Tito plays right into Silva’s weakness. I could see Tito getting Anderson to the ground and g&p him into a tko.

Tito versus Shogun would also be cool since there is some real bad blood there.

I remember Shogun saying how he wanted to fight Tito Ortiz for his first UFC fight (this was way long ago) becuase Tito was talking bad about brazillian fighters or something like that.
