I like when people go out of their way to say Fedor, as if it is any more correct than the understood American pronunciation of Fedor.

Are those chocolates endorsed by Gus Johnson?
This shirt is "dry clean only", which means it's dirty.

I thought it was supposed to be pronounced as Fyo-dor?

It is. It’s how it should be spelled too. I assume the Japanese screwed it up with thrice translating it.
Fedor is more unique though, so i guess they kept it for branding purposes.

It is so glaringly obvious they don't have access to any Fedor fight tape.
It’s extremely amateurish.
Imagine HBO trying to do a 24/7 without tapes of one of the guy’s previous fights?

I can imagine it. They really don’t show too much fight footage on those shows when you think about it.

This guy gets it. 24/7 or 360’s are meant for the viewers to get an inside look at the fighters, their training, and their lives, to build an emotional attachment to one of them, if not both. This show has nothing to do with showing old footage. I thought it was well done. Looking forward to the show today.

Thanks and also c’mon now we’re in the age of youtube. If people want to see Fedor they will search him and find tons of stuff. You think people are just gonna see a commercial that sais “ZOMG FEDOR EMILIANENKO TEH BEST FIGHTER EVAH!!!!1” and not look him up on youtube? Please!

Context
Is an important word. In the first episode of every 24/7, a recap is given of both fighters careers, the journeys they’ve undertook to get to this point. It sets a timeline and backstory for what’s about to come over the ensuing episodes and then, finally, the fight.
Without that, who are these guys? Why should we care about the fight? Why should anyone not already invested get on board?
24/7s are not highlight shows, but they do have the ability to show the major milestones of each fighter’s career. Without that the fight, and the documentary, are taking place in a vacuum.
