Definitely a top 5 card of the year on paper
But let’s wait until after we see what it actually delivers… I’m hoping Fedor/Rogers lasts longer than 30 seconds, lol.

shields at -300
miller seemd to do well the second time with jacre (massive soccer kick excluded) and jacre is way better on the ground than shields which is shields only real clear advantage, so i dont get the lopsoded line i think its relativly even.
Shields is a far far better wrestler
than Jacare. Mayhem will be on his back early and often in this fight.

I've been wondering
what Miller’s gameplan for this fight has to be. I guess it has to be to keep the fight standing, but you nailed it: he’s never shown genius defensive wrestling. Even if he can keep it standing, Shields hasn’t been finished by strikes often and Miller’s not a KO artist. Fighting off his back against an ADCC bronze medalist doesn’t sound like a great road to success, either. I just can’t see the dude winning.

The problem isn't whether or not this is a good/great card.
Its what Strikeforce does for their next card?
Affliction did great cards, but was so bereft of talent that they could only do cards as often as Fedor and the other big names could fight. Strikeforce, but stacking this card, is starting down that same path.
Except...
Strikeforce – Challengers Series 5 is set for the 20th of this month, and the card is looking good so far:
Tyron Woodley vs. Rudy Bears
Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante vs. Aaron Rosa
Kerry Vera vs. Kim Couture
Sarah Kaufman vs. Takayo Hashi
Bobby Voelker vs. Erik Apple
That’ll make three Strikeforce events in one month, more than Affliction had in it’s existence.
Except, to any non-hardcore fans...
who are any of those people on that card?
Fedor, Mayhem and Mousasi should all be headlining their own cards for sustainability reasons.
A lot of non-hardcore fans will say

Do you think Fedor and Mousassi can headline and get buys without free exposure? ‘Mayhem’ has the best shot due to having his own television show. Fedor speaks very little English and isn’t marketable outside of the “Best fighter in the world” angle. So to think they could each headline their own cards is foolish.
The December (rumored) card is starting to look pretty decent:
Nick Diaz (20-7) vs Jay Hieron (18-4) (WW title)
Josh Thomson (16-2) vs Gil Melendez (16-2) (LW Unification Title)
Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza (10-2) vs Matt Lindland (21-6)
Scott Smith (16-6) vs Benji Radach (19-5)
Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal (5-0) vs TBA
Frank Shamrock (23-10) vs TBA
I’ll get the source later…
They also have Vitor, Lawler, and possibly Zaromskis and Bobby Lashley available. So I’m thinking they’re going to move a couple of these fights to January for another good card.
-I’m also thinking Zaromskis vs Hieron will be for the WW title and Diaz will take on Lawler instead.

Zaromskis vs. Hieron, I just don’t like Diaz vs. Lawler, unless it’ll be at WW or MW, I’m tired of catch-weights.
On the subject of Zaromskis/Hieron I think Jay will give him problems.
