Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Dustin Hazelett Speaks On Karo Parisyan Pulling Out of the Fight:

"He had disrespected me and the art of jiu-jitsu by saying he can eat jiu-jitsu guys for breakfast. I was looking forward to standing up and defending my art. It really sucks this happened, especially after all the things he said. And then he just pulls out of the fight."

"I was feeling really good and ready to fight. But everything happens for a reason."

"They said I'll get my show and win money, which is just really cool of them. They didn't have to do that, pay the win money too. But they did, and it's great."

I'm curious..

Does this count against his fights on contract? He could see a double-payday for this camp (kinda) if he gets plugged into a card next month.

I’m sure the UFC probably always pays the win money in a situation like this but I bet Dana made sure to announce it ASAP to show how Strikeforce drug their feet in the Mark Miller bout

I like Dustin a lot…but “disrespected me and the art of jiu-jitsu” is a bit strong for what really was just a guy saying that his style neutralizes BJJ

I'll award him a free pass

He can say whatever he wants for ten straight minutes on tape.

watch the video interview with Fanhouse.. he’s actually just calm about it.. reading it on text seems more controversial than what actually is. haha.
