UFC 105 Results: Michael Bisping Rebounds to Stop Denis Kang in Round Two
The right hand from Henderson put Bisping down, but the Brit is not out.
After suffering his first KO defeat and the most significant loss of his career at UFC 100, Michael "The Count" Bisping rebounded to defeat American Top Team's Denis Kang.
The win by no means came easy. An aggressive Bisping caught a clean right hand on the jaw that dropped the Brit to the canvas in the first. From there Kang worked a series of passes eventually achieving mount and landing some vicious ground and pound. A game Bisping refused to give up, however, and regained full guard before the round expired.
Round two was a very different story. Bisping wisely decided not to exchange with Kang, taking down to the floor with authority on a modified single. From there it was a ground and pound blitzkrieg. Kang eventually got back to his feet, but more takedowns led to more punishment on the floor. Bisping smelled blood and continued to give Kang a beating until the fight was called.
Referee Dan Mirgliotta stopped the bout at 4:24 of the second round, giving Michael Bisping the TKO/ref stoppage win.

Kang… Seriously what was that
I could understand if he got dominated but this makes me wonder if he forgot how to play guard or if marcus soares only teaches top game… Sad to see him quit like that hope he’s ok… That was just weird

I was very...
unimpressed with Bisping tonight. Kang pulled a Kang, Bisping looked like a shell of his former self.

I actually thought Kang failed and Bisping looked incredible
I never ever thought my second favorite Canuck would get shut-out on the ground from Bisping, but he did. He could do nothing on the ground against him. This is not to say Bisping’s the better grappler, but positionally he was at least his equal, and then on top he was the superior ground fighter. Kept distance and rained on him.
I still can’t believe it. Great fight.

I'll agree with ya here
It was very good to see that Bisping finally added a second skill to his set – a ground game. How good was it? I can’t judge, but seeing him take someone to the ground, avoid subs and do a very effective GNP was very refreshing.
