MMAMania.com Makes the Leap to the SBNation Platform

It's been a long time coming, but it finally happened. One of our MMA SBNation partners in crime, MMAMania.com, has finally moved over to the SBNation platform. I suggest you go over there and take a look at the positively stunning layout.

As you can see, their layout is now nearly identical to ours. You'll be able to rec comments, mobile comment, view or create FanShots and FanPosts and everything else you enjoy about the SBNation platform. Of course, it might take the very capable crew at MMAMania.com just a short while to get adjusted, so go over there and help them out with constructive feedback as they get adapted to the new digs.

I'd also like to say it's extremely refreshing that a new media company is so clearly and unequivocally committed to MMA. In a day where print journalism and really traditional media in general is forever and nearly always absurdly hesitant to test the waters of MMA, SBNation continues to give its full throated support to the sites like BloodyElbow.com, MMAMania.com, WatchKalibRun.com and MMAForReal.com, to say nothing of several other related combat sports sites on the network.

So, from all of us here at BloodyElbow.com, we welcome MMAMania.com to the new platform and look forward to working together to bring every MMA fan all the news, analysis and community they can handle.

Me too... soooo glad!

MMAMania was one of the very first MMA sites I ever read. They are great with their exclusive interviews, sense of humor, and very large community. Unfortunately, I have gone there less and less over the last year or so, as (1) BE has gotten so large, and (2) I often found the comments to MMAMania to be very childish and off-topic. The format switch should solve these problems and breathe new life into both MMAMania AND Bloody Elbow, as readers who only have read one or the other will now begin to interact with each other. This really really makes me excited! :)

I enjoy MMAmania but one thing that turns me from that site is a comment section like they have fof the rampage playboy interview. One dude calling Rampage a hood rat and a caps lock BABY KILLER. I hope they get some mods and get rid of people who post crap like that.
