Fedor Emelianenko: "I Still Have Gaps in My Techniques, Skills... We're All Human"

Promoted to the front page from the FanPosts.

"I still have some gaps in my techniques, in my skills, and that’s why my trainers press me hard to work hard and improve. In spite of the fact that they try to work me hard and make my game perfect, I still, in some places, I look a little bit clumsy."

"I am the way that I am, but I always remember that the harder a person gets, the more it hurts to fall down. That’s why I think about all the results (that come from) what I do in a calm way. Also, I try to treat all people the same way. We’re all human beings, with two arms, two legs and all of us are equal in front of God."

--Fedor Emelianenko, giving his thoughts on his performance after watching the fight against Brett Rogers.

I love him the more he speaks out. He really needs to do a real interview. I vote for Brent.

hell no

that shit got scary when half it’s face was ripped off. I’d rather have a female version of the Jude Law robot…

the bear was very scary…the whole scene where they tore the robots up in the circus was freaky too…come to think of it this movie is very frightening.

That movie was much more suited for him than Speilberg

It’s a shame he passed before he could see his vision completed

I have my thoughts on the quality of the heavyweight division. But I don’t see how anyone could help but like this guy. I’m a fan.

by Rich Wyatt on Nov 11, 2009 8:46 PM EST reply actions

He comes across great in interviews, but I can’t overlook the fact that he chooses to align himself with guys like Vadim and Jerry Millen.

by Razzel on Nov 11, 2009 9:11 PM EST up reply actions

Maybe the possible explanation is that Vadim and Jerry are actually good people?

no

Millen reeks of pandering and narcissism to me.

Fedor the manbot is awesome...

its his annoyingly rabid fans and management that make the “Fedor package” unpalatable at times.

by Razreshat on Nov 12, 2009 9:42 AM EST up reply actions

Almost as annoying as the rabid anti-Fedorites…

This is why people love him, with all the star athletes who constantly call themselves the greatest and act out with their massive egos, here’s a guy who is really humble. The guy will always be the best in my book

Because he's not in the UFC

and for some people, unfortunately, if one isn’t in the UFC then one must be attacked and hated.

Which is sad because Fedor truly seems like one of the nicest, most humble people out there – fighter or otherwise.

It’s clearly because he is ducking Brock! Just like last time he didn’t sign, because he was ducking Sylvia and Couture!

And after his contract is up he wont sign because he is ducking whatever fighter the UFC is promoting next!

Nope, we have some example, Brazilians mostly. And fedor has always been nown for being the religious type.

M-1’s Joost Raimond also said that 6 million Russians tuned in to watch Fedor fight and claimed the numbers were good in other countries as well. I don’t know what that means for their bottom line, but that’s another revenue stream they wouldn’t have if Fedor signed with the UFC.

by MMASuPreMaCy on Nov 12, 2009 3:16 AM EST reply actions

Wooo! Even more money that M-1 gets from Fedor fights.

Not really

Fedor is a part owner of M-1, and fights as a part of their organization. So weo was more accurate than you, regardless of how it the revenue was divided.

Fedor is a fedor hater

how dare Fedor say Fedor isn’t perfect, let alone human.

I thought Crocop broke it, when he landed those two straight lefts in a row. Am I mistaken?

by Tedd Welch on Nov 12, 2009 3:28 PM EST up reply actions

Yes you are. According to Fedor’s recent video interview on Sherdog, he never broke it, neither in a fight, nor in training.

Yeah, I wonder what Kyle Maynard would have to say about this.
