Rampage already has more movie offers:
"It’s cool doing this movie! It is fun, but lots of work. I am playing a character that I thought was the coolest man alive growing up. I used to walk around my house pretending I was B.A. Baracus, reciting his lines to my family and friends. It proves to me how good God is. I can’t say [when I'll fight next]. I have other movie offers already and I really miss my kids, it’s a lot easier on your family doing movies then at a ten week fight camp. I really have to think things through. I’m not saying that I don’t want to fight (but) we’ll see what the future holds."

My thoughts exactly
I love me some Sexyama!

So he is coming back?
I mean he still has a contract with the UFC so he cant go fight anywhere else right?
My bet is he returns. Besides this A-Team movie I would be surprised if he has other good movies on the table or the crap movies that Couture and Cung Le get.
Well I guess I should say in my opinion because to me Fighting and The Scorpion King 2 both sucked.

Rampage has ridiculous amounts of charisma.
Cung Le and Randy…Not so much. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a few decent rolls.
Yep, I have Twitter too. Follow me @deowade

But he needs to prove he can read scripted lines well. Rampage often struggles while expressing his own thoughts, how well will he do with memorized lines?
by Lynchman on Oct 9, 2009 6:51 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
I think he does okay.
You don't look like a Tanaka.

Actors don’t really need to memorize lines anymore. You pretty much go with the flow.

With regards to the current TUF season, does anyone know if all the episodes are already edited and just sit on a shelf waiting to be aired, or if Spike TV and Zuffa can make changes as they see fit? I just think its strange that at the beginning of the season, when Rampage was still in Dana’s good graces, he was getting positive airtime- joking around etc, and now that he’s not going to be fighting Rashad afterwards, they seem to showing him in a much poorer light. (Not encouraging or effectively training his fighters etc.) Whereas with Rashad, they seem to be showing him in a more positive light trying to get people to like him more. These people can edit the footage any way they see fit. Just another conspiracy theory.

Dont know for sure
But my best guess would be that they are edited and just waiting to be aired. This was all filmed from like May – July of this year.
Rampage is a poor coach. They didnt have to edit to show that. Go watch TUF: Team Rampage vs. Team Griffin and you will see the same. Rampage does TUF to show off his charisma and let people get to know him better. He is not that big of a draw unless he is facing a draw. UFC 96: Jackson vs. Jardine did horrible numbers by UFC standards.
I’m a fan of Rampage the fighter and I think he is hilarious but he is a horrible coach.

^this^
like dana said “the show wont make you look like an asshole, it will just expose you as one”. i think he said that after the ken/tito season. rampage is making it easy for them to showcase him in a bad spotlight, if thats even the case that they are trying to.

Regarding the footage:
Editing is usually done well in advance of the show airing.
Several TUF X members, including a couple of Team Rampage, have made comments that are in line with what we saw.
Rampage may end up doing very well, but I don’t buy for a second that he has any strong offers out there for acting.
Nobody knows how he will do. The studios are being much more cautious right now, they are not gong to make seven figure offers to a guy with no track record.
I am guessing his agent is pumping him up.

It would definitely make more sense that the shows are complete and just waiting to be aired. I always thought Rampage was more of a fan favorite than Rashad. It just seems to me that they are trying to build Rashad up and tear Rampage down with the footage they are showing now. Why would they do that If Rampage had not “retired” and fought Rashad as planned at the end of this TUF season?

He is more of a fan favorite than Rashad
People hate Rashad because they think he is way too cocky and it is true but again I think Rampage more tore himself down.
They didnt tell Rampage to not get into the cage after his fighter lost. Again I think Rashad is actually getting into the whole process where Rampage simply wants more exposure for himself.
I knew Team Rampage was gonna struggle the moment he saw Kimbo and told him he didnt have to work out or anything. There is picking based on the most talented and picking the biggest name which is what Rampage did.

I think Rampage more tore himself down.
Yep. It’s not like Spike paid him to act like a jerk coach.

I think they edit the shows in the way which creates the most controversy or intrigue. I don’t think the editors care much who looks good, as long as people watch the show.

He keeps saying he has a lot of other offers but I haven’t seen any rumors of him even being considered for any other parts. Who knows what he is being offered (if anything) or whether it’s serious or just someone blowing smoke up his ass?

He’s taking a page out of “Bargaining Positions” by Tito Ortiz.

Well do you know what Tom Cruise's latest offers and rumors are?
This stuff is not always in the public’s eye
by GetItOn on Oct 9, 2009 10:24 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Tom is currently filming a movie called Wichita and has 8 projects in developement right now, it takes about 5 minutes on google to find out what Tom Cruise is doing for the next two years. In Hollywood everyone talks, they have made a entire industry out of following famous people around and snooping into their business. Of course you don’t have to look that hard the internet is full of sites where people talk about this kind of stuff.
by who me on Oct 9, 2009 11:13 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
i doubt that is true about his many other parts...
but it would be wise for him to say that to increase the level of desperation on dana whites’ part. i’m sure he would like to get the rashad fight done eventually and pray to god that evans gets the W.
by kanodogg on Oct 10, 2009 12:40 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Why would Dana White be desperate in this situation? They have Rampage locked up under contract so he can’t go fight anywhere else and they have shown time and time again that they can sell PPVs by just plugging guys in. Life goes on for the UFC with or without Rampage Jackson.

I just don’t know how much appeal these fighters have as actors if they in fact stop fighting. You always here people say that Gina or Randy don’t need fighting. They’ve crossed over, and they can just take acting roles. I’m not so sure. Fighting, in one way or another, put these people on the map. I guess it depends upon the following the fighter in question has. Will they continue to buy their movies if they decide to quit fighting? Though Rampage is entertaining in his own right, I don’t see him as being all that sought after as an actor. I suppose that could change if he really hits a home run with the A-Team.
by Cannon Jacques on Oct 10, 2009 8:49 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
This is a big risk…..for the people remaking the A-Team, that is. Filling Mr.T’s shoes is a VERY BIG undertaking….Many older fans who have seen the A-Team series in the past will not like Rampage no matter how well he acts ’cause Mr. T WAS B.A. Baracus.
What they will have to do is appeal to the Younger Crowd that never saw the A-Team series…..
