Matt Serra vs Frank Trigg in the Works for UFC 110 This February?
According to Ariel Helwani of MMA Fanhouse, former UFC Welterweight Champion, Matt Serra will return to the octagon on this February. Everything is still far from being finalized, but they are reporting that a match with fellow veteran, Frank Trigg is being considered:
His new road to the title begins in Las Vegas on Feb. 6, as Serra said he has verbally agreed to compete on the yet-to-be announced card.
And while FanHouse has learned that Frank Trigg is one of the leading candidates to face Serra in February, he would not confirm nor deny that "Twinkle Toes" will be his next opponent.
Matt Serra also talked about wanting a rematch with Matt Hughes:
"There's no way you are going to tell me I lost that last fight. I don't care. I mean, whatever, I don't care what the judges say. There was one guy trying to end that and there was one guy trying to squeak out a victory, you know? And that's pretty much my take on it. I thought I won the first and the third round... I know he wants to move on. I would love a rematch because I don't think it's really settled."
"The second it was over, he said to me, 'That's going to be a close one to judge,' or something like that, and I told him, 'Good job. Don't sweat it. No matter which way it goes, it's over.' That's when we kind of gave a hug and raised each other's hands. And that's the right thing to do. I think that's the right example to set, and I think that, as a man, you had it out, and that's the right way to handle things. That's why even though I'm sitting here saying I want a rematch, I'm not calling the guy names and going the route I went before we fought, because again, I think there should be some respect after you fight somebody."

That’s the Australia card I believe. I get to see Matt Serra, I’m pretty happy about that.
This shirt is "dry clean only", which means it's dirty.
if Hughes/serra 2, or serra/trigg becomes the main event, I doubt you’d be happy. haha.

lol true. If Serra/Trigg is the main event there will be a riot. I’m guessing we’ll get Franklin (yayish) and Hughes…sigh.

If youre lucky maybe you'd get any of the headliners/co-headliners for 104..
and maybe even a few guys from 105.

Maybe you get an Aussie?
Isn’t that George Sotoropolus guy Australian?

Aren’t Serra and Trigg are both huge telenovela stars in Australia?

If that card is in Australia, how can the UFC not have my man, George Sotiropolous, on the card?
Serra vs Trigg actually makes a lot of sense to me. Both are coming off of losses, and both are kind of in that UFC “senior circuit,” yet they haven’t ever fought each other. Stylistically, it would be a good fight as well.
Austrilian card?
It says his road back to the ww title begins in Las Vegas. If I am correct that is the superbowl card.
Pretty sure
They aren’t going to hold a fight in Austrailia on super bowl weekend.
The 6th of Feb. is my bday and I will be in LV watching this card.

Geez, they're already book fights for UFC 110?
I haven’t even heard a thing about 109. Joe SIlva must have a lot of ideas in the pipeline.
I don’t know if it’s final, but it seems like UFC 109 is a week before 110.. so one of the two cards will probably be free, sucky, or both.

If 110 is free
With Serra/Trigg I’ll crap myself.
Otherwise if that’s the PPV then it blows.
Why am I talking like this? IT IS FREAKING OCTOBER!!!!!
Seattle is cursed. For life.
Probably 109 will be free
Looks like 110 will be PPV according to MMA Mania.
Seattle is cursed. For life.
Is Matt Serra even relevant in MMA anymore, he has fought three times in almost 3 years, with a record of 1-2.
You know someone will get stopped in the 1st
Both have been KOed/submitted in awesome fashion.
No defense means you can’t lose here!
Seattle is cursed. For life.
I love the word "relevant"
Is he going to win a title? Probably not. Is he still an exciting fighter to watch, who can defeat a good number of other fighters on the UFC roster? Hell yes. That’s enough for me to watch.
Good scrap. I’m in favor of it.

I see where you're going with that...
Frank Trigg is like a Mog. He’s his own best friend.

"His new road to the title begins in Las Vegas on Feb. 6"
This is funny.
Arguing on the internet is like being in the special olympics, even when you win you are still retarded.
