As speculated in last month's rankings, top-ranked "Shinpei" Tahara will get his rematch with Rambaa Somdet at "Revolutionary Exchanges 3" on November 23rd, with the winner crowned the division's first-ever Shooto champion. You can watch their first fight here.
Elsewhere, newly promoted A-Classer Katsuya Murofushi enters the rankings at #4 thanks to his September win over "Heat" Takeshi, and Hiroaki Yoshioka's upset submission win over Hiroyuki Abe bumps him up a spot to #7.
Bantamweight (-56kg / 123.5 lbs.)

9. ↓ Jesse Taitano (7-5-2 / USA / Ground Fu - Spike22)
10. ↓ Daiji Takahashi (7-10-4 / Japan / Akimoto Dojo Jungle Junction)
#1 and #2 swap spots this month, as Urushitani and Miki's September rematch ended with the judges unanimously siding with Uru. Holding tight just behind them at #3 is the Brazilian who beat divisional champion Kojima in a non-title match back in July - expect to see him back for a rematch soon.
Yuki Shojo's majority decision win over formerly ranked featherweight Junya "Kodo" Kudo moves him to #4, while Juni Ikoma slides to #5 after a second round submission loss to "Gozo" Shioda last weekend.
Mamoru (#6) is expected to return to the Shooto fold against #9 Jesse Taitano at Vale Tudo Japan on October 30th.
#7 Masaaki Sugawara entered the rankings at #10 last month, and now his "Shooting Disco 10" win over Hiroyuki Tanaka has him continuing his climb up the ladder.

The always entertaining Tetsu "Hadairo" (#5) shoots up three spots with a first round guillotining of Teriyuki Matsumoto at "Revolutionary Exchanges 2" on September 22nd.
We've also got three new entries to the Top 10: Shooto Brazil standouts Carlos "Betao" (#7) and Rodolfo Marques (#9), plus the aforementioned Matsumoto (#8).

9. → Rumina Sato (24-14-2 / Japan / roots)
10. → Antonio Carvalho (10-4 / Canada / Franco Martial Arts)
Aussie grappler Gustavo Falciroli (#5) continues to move up the charts. He's now notched six straight wins since April 2008, including three this year over Japanese favorites "Jackal" Oishi, "Wicky" Akiyo and Daisuke Ishizawa.
Champion "Lion" Takeshi will take on Shooto legend "Pequeno" Nogueira in a five round non-title affair at Vale Tudo Japan '09.
"Iron" Hiroshi (#7) slides down one spot, though he was one of the few fighters to pick up a win (or fight at all, for that matter) at the Korean debacle which was Fighting Mixed Combative 1. He also entered the -66kg division at ADCC 2009, but was eliminated in the first round by Cobrinha.

10. → Grzegorz Tredowski (11-7-2 / Poland / Team Beast of the East)
Former champion Takashi Nakakura handed back his belt last month, citing a detached retina sustained in his May bout with Takanori Gomi. He hopes to return to action in early 2010, but in the meantime, Brazilian sensation "Chiquerinho" and Kenichiro Togashi will fight for the vacant title at Vale Tudo Japan '09.
Ganjo (#7) and Boku (#8) swap spots thanks to Ganjo's impending return and Boku's rematch loss to Pacific Rim champ Endo (#2).

I heard he was supposed to fight in M-1 Challenge earlier this year, but it didn’t come about. Hope he gets back in there soon.
(Incidentally, looking at his MySpace, it was his birthday on Tuesday.)

Shooto really needs to just strip Aoki and be done with it. I know he will probably cry, but he always cries.
This shirt is "dry clean only", which means it's dirty.
