sigh
Once again Wagnney on the prelims. Just release him so he can go to Sengoku or something.
agree
I like Cerrone, but Henderson is an explosive fighter who might give The Cowboy fits on Saturday.
I'm the kind of girl who loves to watch a GOOD fight!

WEC makes absolutely no sense to me in terms of marketing fighters, and then actually knowing who will draw interest. Some of the preliminary match-ups are way better than the main card match-ups, and I fail to see where marketability comes into play in some of the main card fights.

With the lost Direct TV and a card with no drawing power, this might be the lowest rated WEC event in a long time. How is this supposed to help them continue as a viable second organization for Zuffa or let alone build towards ppv?
It just goes to show how few fighters the WEC has that can draw a crowd or draw ratings. I like both Cerrone and Henderson, but they sure aren’t draws. There is always that question in regards to WEC lightweights in whether or not they would do well in the UFC Lightweight division. This main card doesn’t even look very strong, and one has to question why Fabiano is in the prelims. Usually, there is a main event and a co-main event, but in this card, I don’t even see any fight that would constitute a true co-main event. Granted, I will still watch it, but these flaws are hard to ignore.
Henderson's "injury"?
I was to attend these fights in Youngstown where they were originally to be held. The official word from the WEC is that the entire card was canceled due to an “injury” to Henderson that no one was willing to divulge. Now I know the real reason the card was canceled was because of the Vs. deal falling through and probably low ticket sales, but did anyone ever come out to say what his injury was?

I think I remember reports saying he was having laser eye surgery and they wanted to make sure his vision was 100% by the time of the fight.
Personally, I think the shift had more to do with the Versus dispute and weak sales in Youngstown than Henderson’s “injury” or what have you.
As for the card itself, why Fabiano is on the undercard is a mystery to all of us hardcore fans, but more people (somewhat sadly) know Damacio Page than they know Wagnney. Additionally, don’t sleep on the Assuncao – Jabouin fight…

This is a lame card for a WEC Event
But anyone who has a last name like Crunkilton has to be a must-watch.
Oh and WAR HENDERSON!
Seattle is cursed. For life.
Yeah it really is a little lackluster but tix were pretty cheep so me and some buddies are making the short trip over to see the little guys go at it. Should be fun and usually the cards you think suck end up being awesome, which is what Im hoping.
WAR CERRONE, PAGE, TAPIA, VASQUEZ!

![Donald Cerrone says Ben Henderson clearly won the fight:
"I think [Henderson] won the fight. Some people will say it might have gone the other way, but he definitely won the fight."
"I'm obviously disappointed in myself," Cerrone said. "I didn't go out there and show what I had the first couple of rounds.
"I asked my coach, 'What round are we in?' He said, 'Fourth.' I said, 'Oh, [expletive], I better get going.'"
