Man oh man. The MMA world never thought it would see the day that top fighters would be rushing to train Shotokan karate. It’s kinda surreal.
he's been training with Lyoto for some time now.
and his stance on the Franklin fight was exactly the same as lyoto’s haha.

Wait, he's been training with Lyoto...and will be fighting Anderson?
Something doesn’t fit here, considering Anderson and Lyoto’s opinion of fighting each other.
yeah, that’s what i want to find out also.. I think Lyoto’s closer to anderson though.

But, yeah this is teh awesome. It’s like MMA has come full circle. First it was styles, then it was adding athleticism, then it was adding a complete game (striking and ground), and now with all that it’s back to styles. Karate FTW.

Wushu/San Shou fighters are starting to increase in other countries (Eduard Folayang for example), and if the Chinese get more interested in MMA, Striking is bound to branch out in to whole new levels..

I'd rather see some Southern styles in there
Not a big fan of “Shaolin” styles. I’d like to see some family styles in there like Hung Ga!
