Kazushi Sakuraba will participate in DREAM.11 - details forthcoming.

UPDATE #1 - Alright, so, even though we're three days from the event, Saku's opponent has not been announced - only the fact that he'll participate. We'll have to find out some time in the next 48 hours, since there's a public weigh-in on Monday.

In the video - which is apparently a parody of the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion - Saku is told that he'll face Katsuyori Shibata, then a gaijin (foreigner), then Funaki (at which he laughs). The video is left off "to be continued."

Is Sakuraba imitating famous anime character SHINJI?

It certainly appears so. Starting @ 1:28, he seems like saying “I Can Do It … I Can Do it” to himself. Well, that’s my only assumption.

I’m told it’s something like “I must not run” or “I cannot escape,” which is why most thought he’d fight in the cage at DREAM.12.

Sportsnavi does say the video is a parody of Neon Genesis Evangelion. (Thanks for confirming, I’ve never seen it.)

Neither have I but from what I’ve heard there will most likely be another video that ends with an opponent selected and a group of people going “Congratulations”.
