Roxanne Modafferi vs. Marloes Coenen set for Strikeforce Nov 7th:

"Marloes Coenen (16-3) will indeed face a past opponent at Strikeforce on Nov 7 as Roxanne Modafferi (13-4) has stepped in to replace Erin Toughill in the women's fight that will remain on the undercard for the show, which could crown the next contender for a shot at champion, Cris "Cyborg" Santos."

"Bout agreements are expected to follow shortly ...Usually fighting around 135lbs, Modafferi will go up in weight to face the bigger Coenens."

Wow! She is hot!

They don't...

I just don’t agree that she is hot. She is however a great fighter, I’d rather her fight at 135 and try for that title when available.

^This.

I’m about as interested in getting aroused by the hottest female fighter as I am in having the smartest kid in special ed math do my taxes.

Besides,
heavily air brushed pictures = not hot
kicking ass = hot

by Jahbulon on Oct 29, 2009 12:09 PM EDT up reply actions

Using that reasoning...

who is the hottest? Anderson, Georges or Fedor?

by CSKit on Oct 29, 2009 12:31 PM EDT up reply actions

Isn't Fedor the only one hot enough to score a wife?

Scoring a wife means you are the opposite of hot. Scoring a wife is punishment from god.

Georges. But Fedor…

He looks like a cuddler, that Fedor. I like that. I like to be held, I like to be pampered.

Why not?

Strikeforce's Women's Division

I feel the same way about Strikeforce’s Women’s Division(s) as I did some time ago watching WEC build their Featherweight and Bantamweight divisions.

There are still a few superb talents out there not yet under the employ of Strikeforce, but the free agent pool seems to be dwindling all the time. As a fan of women’s fights, its very exciting. From a business perspective, this provides Strikeforce with a competitive advantage that the UFC is presently unwilling to counter. If it turns out that this competitive advantage yields significant returns, it may be too late for the UFC to enter that particular sector of the MMA market.

Apparently I’m recalling a lot of my Econ 101 class today.

Anyway, it’s nice to see Strikeforce continuing to carve out their own niche. UFC has the best talent overall, WEC has the best fighters under 155lbs., and Strikeforce has the best female fighters. Now they just need the two best females fighters: Megumi Fujii and, more importantly, Tara LaRosa.

...Behold, a pale horse. The man that sat upon it was Wieters, and hell followed with him.

Just about jumped out of my chair when I heard this.

So happy that we’ll get to see Roxy fighting again period, let alone in Strikeforce. Big things.

If true (heard it's unconfirmed)

WAR Roxanne “Geeeeeeeeeeeek” (my ring name for her) Modafferi!!

As she put it in late September, “HookNshoot” has no money to put on shows, and SmackGIRL died… not sure why she didn’t seem interested in “Smack’s Child” JEWELS, she had to miss ADCC trials this year… and because they couldn’t find an opponent who’d agree to the fight due to her experience and weight, she attended but didn’t fight on last Saturday’s Valkyrie card. :(

So here’s hoping that this is a go!

Awesome.

War Roxy.
