woah

Jacare/Lindland? Thats a pretty good fight that seemingly has slipped through the cracks of the news

by Discman2 on Oct 28, 2009 9:27 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

No its not.

Lindland is going to get massacred.

by Razreshat on Oct 28, 2009 9:46 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

yea

i don’t know how anyone can get excited to see old man lindland fight anymore. he’s going to get submitted quickly. hell jacare may even knock him out.

Dude loses one fight and suddenly he’s washed up? He got caught against Vitor. Vitor has fast hands. For Jacare to submit him, he has to get it to the ground. How’s he going to do that? He’s not going to ankle pick Lindland, and he’s damn sure not throwing him out of the clinch.

Lindland keeps it on the feet for the decision win.

Lindland get submitted quickly? Maybe if your name is Fedor.

This card is too stacked. Thats six fights that should be on the main card, and if Frank and Vitor are on the card too that could be eight main card worthy fights. This should be broken up over 2 events

TBA gets alot of work from Strikeforce.

He’s going to be moving up the rankings fast.

Yeah just was gonna post that… If sf wants to be on the big stage they need to have bouts in place months ahead and actually promote them. King mo vs Dan Henderson make it happen

by kanodogg on Oct 28, 2009 9:49 AM EDT via mobile up reply actions   0 recs

Both are on Team Quest, no?

by Discman2 on Oct 28, 2009 9:51 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah man didn’t realize mo was a team quest dude… The whole “being on the same camp” thing screws the fans again

King Mo is with “Team Thirsty”.

I think Dan said that he would fight a teammates. A lot of old time wrestlers don’t seem as bound to that idea as other types of fighters.

Common mistake

TBA is not one fighter, just a lot of fighters have that name. It’s very common like Smith… or Silva.

The standard Facebook/Myspace pic

of standing next to a fighter with a clenched fist strikes again. This time with a… ring girl?

The Only Slight Modification...

Is that that Nick Diaz is rumored to fight either Robbie Lawler or Jay Hieron.
Nice post though.

=)

by MMASuPreMaCy on Oct 28, 2009 2:27 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Would anyone like this?

Rumored:
Diaz vs (Lawler II / Jay Hieron for WW Title)
King Mo vs (Randleman / Whitehead)
Lindland vs Jacare
Smith vs Radach II
Shamrock vs TBA

Possible if Punk is Healthy:
Josh Thomson vs Gil Melendez (LW Unification Title)

I remember there were some people that said they wouldn’t be able to hold a big event anytime soon due to Nov. 7th being so stacked. =)

by MMASuPreMaCy on Oct 28, 2009 2:37 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Not me. Man did I take shit for defending that (mental note: never defend MMASupreMaCy)

Couple of notes for Strikeforce:

Diaz better be fighting Hieron. I like Diaz-Lawler more, but let’s not screw Jay over anymore.

Mo vs Randleman is not a meaningful fight in any sense, except for the fact I want to see it. Maybe my inner pro-wrestler is coming out.

Shamrock better not be fighting a stiff. How about him versus Tim Kennedy. That way when he gets his ass kicked it’ll go to some use promoting an up and comer.

If Josh isn’t healthy I want to see Vitor vs. Gil.

by nottheface on Oct 28, 2009 7:39 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

LOL

Agreeing with me should come with a GIANT warning label.

Yeah, I am thinking they may set up Vitor vs Gil if Josh can’t go.
