Erin Toughill Drops out of Strikeforce Bout Against Marloes Coenen
The November 7th Strikeforce card has suffered its first casualty, according to MMAWeekly.com:
A Nov. 7 fight that was bound to determine a contender to Strikeforce 145-pound women’s champion Cris "Cyborg" Santos is off.
Sources informed MMAWeekly.com on Tuesday that the showdown between Erin Toughill (10-2-1) and Marloes Coenen (16-3), scheduled for the undercard of Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers, is off the card.
Toughill had to withdraw due to an undisclosed medical condition.
Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come as Strikeforce has had trouble with fighters dropping out of fights before. Diaz and Overeem are two names that immediately come to mind, with all the big names on this card and the exposure it will get being on CBS Strikeforce can't afford to have this event run anything but smoothly.

Luckily, this was a prelim fight that wasn’t scheduled to be on television. Wonder if they will scrap the fight altogether or get a replacement against Coenen.
Paging Cindy Dandois for an awesome rematch!

They don’t show the prelims even if they’re good.

On the good news side, the fight deserved to be on a main card anyways.

Putting the number one contender to Cyborg’s Title is NOT the way to promote a challenger and make her even seem like a threat to Cyborg. If Cyborg fought the winner of Toughill vs Coenen, then it would honestly come off like Cyborg vs some random female fighter to most fans.

Kaufman vs. Hashi also scrapped, that makes two best women fights this fall cancelled.

But for that fight, they haven’t given a reason yet, so I am wondering if they are trying to move Kaufman to the Nov 7th show? No one really knows right now.

No, Kaufman has said that the fight was postponed to New Years.

New Years? I was thinking since they were both training for Nov bouts, and Toughill is out, they could have moved the fight up a week. =)

She’s not happy about the layoff either, but no word on the details.
