Hey Dan, you probably could have got the title shot had you not asked for ridiculous money. And maybe the UFC wants Anderson to clear out the division before he starts having to repeat fights he’s already had. Seeing that Silva said he would retire after his current contract is up(is he still on that btw) they need to diversify his resume, so to speak.
We already seen Anderson beat Hendo once. And Hendo is gonna be the same fighter he was then if he fights Anderson now. Dan never changes. He’s always been a wrestler with wild standup and a huge right hand. Let Anderson take on a different fighter who poses different problems before he takes on guys he’s already beaten.

Did we ever hear what amount he asked for?
Just saying “ridiculous money” isn’t enough.

“We’re at a stalemate right now,” White said. “The money that [Henderson] is asking for would make him by far the highest-paid guy in the UFC.”
But then it’s a he said/she said type of thing
“Contracts are confidential, so that statement’s impossible to prove or disprove,” said Crecy.
When you see that Chuck makes $500,000 just to show and White says Hendo would be the top paid guy…. I would say thats ridiculous.

Well said.
Sign the fucking contract Dan then you can cry about people jumping you in line.

I think Dana needs Dan more than Dan needs Dana. To me the UFC is in dire need of filling main event slots in the upcoming months but they don’t have the star power to fill the cards. If they were smart the UFC would take the hit and pay him what he wants until they can build new stars to fill his role.

Wha?
Dana is running a multimillion dollar company that is doing so well in a recession that their videogame single-handedly saved the company that wrote it? And DANA needs one 39-year-old fighter that will get creamed in any title shot they throw at him? Why?

Technically, without a contract Dan isn't in line anymore.
So they would obviously need to go with a CONTRACTED UFC fighter.
Nate is the one that should be pissed right now.

The level of excitement NOT generated by this post...
speaks volumes.

Somehow I get the feeling
that a few people didn’t get watch the video.
I also get the feeling although it wasn’t said at all that the big fall out in the contract negotiation isn’t fight purse money, but T-Shirt related money. That was a big point of concern for Dan in the past and I didn’t hear anything in these 2 videos that really changed that.
