Fedor in first screenshot of new EA MMA game

The first screenshots of EA's new MMA game appear in Sports Illustrated this week (anybody got a sub?) but one screenshot has been posted on Facebook by EA Sports and is currently featured on videogame blog Kotaku. It shows Fedor arm-barring a character that I would guess is Randy Couture.

It doesn't appear dark enough to be Fedor's upcoming opponent, Brett "The Grim" Rogers, who confirms he was recently scanned for the game and will be appearing in it. You can find more discussion in this Fanshot that I didn't see before I posted this,

It doesn’t appear ~~dark~~ fat enough to be Fedor’s upcoming opponent, Brett “The Grim” Rogers.

The graphics look good, but I never even played the UFC one.

That’s not a screen shot. That is a photoshop of Fedor on a digital background.

That’s not really impressive anymore, we know they can do that much. And screen is too small anyway.

look at the waxy texture to the highlights on the skin around the knees or abs—this is a game render, all cg. whether its actual live gameplay footage or not is hard to tell.

They haven’t announced that yet, still coming out with a little bit of info every now and then, you can keep up with updates on Facebook or the EA MMA site.

They however have said that they will be showing a first look video on Nov 7th during the Strikeforce broadcast, so they may have some release info on that date but I wouldn’t hold my breath on that.
