Quote of the Day: Brock Lesnar Training Partner Chris Tuchscherer Talks Decision to Drop Out of UFC 106
"He actually practiced (Sunday) and thought he might be feeling alright. He said, ‘Wow, I think I'm doing OK today.' (Monday) he got here and it was the same old stuff - fatiguing right away, not being all there.
"After practice we were all sitting around, we were actually going to come back later at night to work out again, and he basically told us, ‘Hey guys, I'm going to pull out of this thing.'
...
"There's a lot of cases of (H1N1 flu) around here. There are a lot of confirmed cases of it. I don't want to say it's that for sure, but it wouldn't surprise me."
Chris Tuchscherer talking to The Las Vegas Sun.

Conthipiracee!!!
Brock Lesnar is under control of the evil medical establishment to ensure that the maximum number of people are indoors in January at parties to catch the governement designed H1N1 to drive up medical sales and mind control all the sheeple that don’t believe me and used to give me wedgies.

Can you catch H1N1 from sharing needles? Just curious.
Don't believe a word I say, I don't train BJJ.

If you are sharing needles the flu is the least of your worries.

HEADLINE: Brock Lesnar gets ass kicked by H1N1 swine flu
Apparently the Minneapolis / St. Paul News Blog is confirming it’s H1N1…
UFC Heavyweight champion and Minnesota resident Brock Lesnar announced that he will have to push back his upcoming title defense because he’s sick with the H1N1 swine flu.

Rodrigo Comprido on Lesnar dropping out:
I think you already know, but Brock had to postpone the fight because he had a terrible flu and couldn’t train for two weeks. We tried again today (yesterday) and he couldn’t do anything, so we decided to postpone the fight. It’d be impossible to fight well starting the third week without conditions to train well.
The fact is that, whenever the fight is set, he’ll present even better than the last time. And I say that because the beginning of this training camp was fantastic, the better start I’ve ever seen. We had a lot of high level sparrings and the coaches are even more connected. But the important is that Brock was very well physically and technically. Like people say, a blessing in disguise.
Wait and see, this fight will be memorable.

We’ve now heard that Brock hasn’t been able to train for three and a half weeks, two weeks, and one week.
I don’t know who is lying, but I do know that someone is lying.
Not that I doubt that Brock pulled out due to illness, but can we please get the true story on this?

He could have been training, but not at 100%. Some people see him as there and training and some people know he is not putting in a full complement of training. This discrepancy could be what amounts to a rounding error on the part of the sources. Training is not always black and white.

“Unable to train” and “cannot train” mean no training. None. Zero.
If they mean otherwise, than they should say what they mean.

Chris Tuchscherer is not known for his elegant prose. He is known for training with Brock and displaying his skills in the only place that is matters, The YAMMA.

Yeah but I’m talking about what Dana White and Rodrigo Comprido are saying about the amount of time Brock has missed, not Tuscherererer.

Doctors are not even testing for H1N1
they are just diagnosing it and putting people on antiviral and antibiotic meds. They diagnosed my sister over the phone and faxed in her script. The thought process is that the test takes longer than the virus needs to run its course in most cases.
I was sick for weeks, but was fighting it off. In the end I took 3 days off (and a weekend) stayed in bed and beat it… but for the three weeks prior I was in a fog and felt like shit. Cant imagine anyone training feeling like that.

Overprescribing those antivirals is going to kill us all.
Just vaccinate everyone, dammit. What’s the problem?
I’m getting my vaccination next week.
I like using semi-colons; they make me feel smart.

well half the schools in the country are already over run with the virus. And they dont have enough vaccine prepared.

Brock will be even better on Jan 2, and that card will be amazing. Sucks for UFC 106, though

IOLE and Dana Add To The Conspiracy

I saw the video and I will concede he did not look sick. Having said that, I’m not his doctor, nor do I have access to his medical records. His management insists he’s been very sick and his training partners have concurred. I asked Dana White and he said he hadn’t seen the video. He said Lesnar called him Monday, which is the first he found out about the illness, and said he couldn’t make it. White further said Lesnar told him he is not sure if he could fight in January. I asked if Lesnar sounded ill when they spoke and he said no. White said he had breakfast with Lesnar in Las Vegas about a month ago and said Lesnar told him at that time he wanted to fight frequently. Something doesn’t add up here and this bears further watching.
