saw dana white say to shogun after the fight “i had you winning that fight”… will be interested to see if he admits to that at the press conference.

I bet he will. If he wants people to think the UFC is legit, he’ll definitely say it.

he better come out and say he'll give shogun an immediate rematch
he doesn’t even need to say he thought Shogun won, he can say it was that close and he’ll get another chance at the belt and I’d be happy with that. I hope Machida gives Shogun his dues in this PC, acknowledge he was the best he has faced, Shogun deserves some sugar, that was just terrible.

I’m not sure if he’ll come out and say it because of the current issues with Anderson Silva. He can think it, but I’m not sure if it would be smart to say it out in the open, right after the fight.
He can say that because it was a close fight he wants to do an immediate rematch (especially because Rashad is fighting T Silva and Rampage is still playing Mr. T)

Add more
I’m not installing the Microsoft plug-in on my new laptop right now, would love some updates. As if anyone else needed confirmation, Florian agreed that Shogun won on his Twitter feed.
And King Breen had the fight 48-47.

This press conference is going to be the perfect segway into Dream 12.

Is Dream available on PPV or the web?

HDNet and probably nefarious streams.

is HDnet is like a website TV?
Is it like a streaming online site? Or is it a cable channel?
Sorry for the dumb questions…

“Everybody that has spoke to me after has told me that they thought I won the fight.” — Shogun
Dana White said they’re going to try and get some help to educate the judges. Sounds like Dana thinks Shogun won.

MMA Judges should score every aspect of MMA, like the sub attempts, reversals and defense. Maybe a system where you put a number to whatever a fighter has done, then get an average out of it to make that your score for the round.
But MMA cannot be scored like a boxing match anymore.

What he is doing is the equivalent of a basketball team getting a basket at the buzzard for the win, running into the locker room to collect their things so they can get out of there as quickly as possible.

It wasn’t something he did. It was just his whole attitude about the situation. He came off as very smug almost in the way that he believes he won the fight even though every question asked to him, or almost every question, had to do with a rematch since people thought Shogun won. I know he can’t say that he thinks he lost but damn, at least say you thought the other guy performed great. He made it all out to be that the judges gave him the win so that’s that and he didn’t get his strategy going which is why it was a close fight.

exactly he seemed to not want to acknowledge anything that Shogun did and kept going back to all three judges scored it in my favor so I must of won

Didn’t sound to me like him at all acting like he’d ‘actually’ won, just acknowledging what the decision was.

I don’t know what you guys want.
he absolutely can’t come out and say “i lost the fight,” it would have been nice if he said, “it was close” but it’s really not necessary. Everyone knows it was a close fight.

I don't know why they didn't give Shogun v Machida fight of the night, just to make up some for Shogun getting shafted in the decision.
Machida is my favorite fighter but i definitely think he lost tonight. So i guess the judges had him winning the first three rounds? Is that what happened? I guess its possible, but Shogun deserved the win. I guess you really have to finish the Champ to be the Champ.
I can’t seem to install this stupid siverlight. When i download it, i can’t open it. Any help?

They can’t give it fight of the night. People would freak out if they officially gave Machida a bonus for that.
I’m sure Shogun got taken care of.

Decision good for marketing?
OK, so we weren’t all that thrilled with this main event. Or, for this event altogether for that matter.
Isn’t the fact that there will likely be a rematch probably going to spell that Machida-Rua II is going to carry WAY more interest? Everyone dismissed this match like Machida was untouchable. Obviously, next time that won’t be the case. Both will have a great deal to prove.

I was pleased with the main event (decision aside), but i had a feeling that this event as a whole wouldn’t be overall that impressive which is why i decided to not buy it, in fact Dream.12 was much better.
Shogun-Machida should be one hell of a fight, but now that Shogun has shown Machida his game plan i feel that the next fight will still have the same winner.
