Hmmmmmmm.....

Watch Fedor and Mousasi live on free tv or watch reruns of fights that I already know the result of? Such a tough decision…..

Walla walla walla I'm an idiot.

I'll still DVR this

Yeah I have seen all 4 fights but to me Nog/Couture was classic and BJ and Anderson dominating was cool too. Vitor’s ko was not as great but they want to get him hyped if they are gonna do him and Silva.

I dont think Dana does this assuming he can get more viewers than Strikeforce but if he can get 1 person to watch this over Strikeforce I’m sure it will be worth it to him.

Still gonna be interesting what the ratings for Strikeforce do because even though they are advertising most people still dont know who Fedor is and so if they tune in its gonna be to find out who he is. Just my opinion.

Pretend you are a casual fan… which card will you watch (and if you have friends that are ask yourself which show will they most be interested in)?: (also realize not everyone bought UFC 103 and UFC 102):

UFC:
B.J. Penn vs. Kenny Florian
Anderson Silva vs. Forrest Griffin
Vitor Belfort vs. Rich Franklin
Randy Couture vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira

or

Strikeforce:
Werdum vs Bigfoot
Mousasi vs Soko
Jake Shields vs Mayhem Miller
Fedor vs Brett Rogers

Now ask yourself as a hardcore fan will you be switching channels back and forth?

while you’re at it, ask yourself how many viewers Kimbo has brought on board who have not bought any ppv’s yet…

This a good indication to the effectiveness of this strategy.

Competition is great… ever since Zuffa started airing past ppv’s and giving the fanbase who have yet to be converted into ppv buyers a taste/sample of what they are missing out…. numbers have gone up.

It would be interesting if they could re air the Silva-Forrest fight with different camera angles. There were several shots that Silva hit him with where I really wanted to see it from a different angle.

Yeah!

Especially the forward dip-punch that dropped him the first or second time. The only shot we got of that was form behind.

Its really a shame there’s no technology available that lets us view recorded video with selectable camera angles as an added bonus for paying for some sort of ownable media. Like a disc or something. And it would even make past events more desirable to own for fans and even pirates. That’d make Zuffa some money methinks. Oh well.
