Dana White's UFC 104 Video Blog: Episode 3

I'm forced to admit I must not be the target audience for these video blogs because the minutiae of White's life including his sweet tooth cravings and pranks could not possibly be less interesting. In fairness, the flotsam and jetsam of my life is probably even less interesting, but I try to not broadcast it. I made it about four minutes in before turning this off. Let me know if anything interesting happens by leaving a comment.

I like the Vlogs right after a card, they are always good, but the ones prior don’t interest me much either :P

I guess Dos Equis made the right choice when they hired this guy instead of DW.

The last 2 minutes were pretty cool.

Dana gave a couple of guys he just met 5 tickets to the event.

Arguing on the internet is like being in the special olympics, even when you win you are still retarded.

" Dana White says he’s given out 3300 tickets for UFC 104"

Anyone else want to say he’s only giving away a few dozen tickets? Anyone?

Didn’t think so.

How many seats does that arena have?

Walla walla walla I'm an idiot.

20k.

And Dave Meltzer is apparently saying UFC 104 has only sold 8k tickets.

by Luke Thomas on Oct 22, 2009 5:45 PM EDT up reply actions

There won’t be many UFC events in Cali in the near future if all they can manage for a LHW title fight is 8K sales.

Walla walla walla I'm an idiot.

Shoulda had Lesnar, no scratch that. Before they announced UFC 100 in LV I kept saying for them to do it at Staples. Huge venue, huge card, 2nd biggest market in the US. Now look what they get.

No one I know will buy tickets at UFC prices

Everyone form coffee shop workers to some lawyers. Its just a lunatic pricing scheme. I know he’s talking about bringing it down to the working class, but its till pretty steep.

Right. It’s just asking a lot.

Look, it’d be great if the UFC could sell out every single show. Nothing would make my job in reaching out to producers and program directors easier than saying “look at how profitable they are and how big the shows are”. I’m not trying to hurt the UFC by underscoring these ticket sales. But I also think when they do poorly, it should be acknowledged.

And when they do well, I expect you all to remind me to give them their props.

They could have sold no tickets and still cleared 8 figures this weekend, I think that’s pretty profitable.

Walla walla walla I'm an idiot.

The wonders of the internet. Some random person posts some ridiculous theory and puts a link in the post everyone takes it as gospel, but when someone who actually knows something posts something that they found during their own non-internet based research, no one believes it.

I disagree, that little back and forth you had going with Beatdown Radio on Twitter the other day had me cracking up.

Walla walla walla I'm an idiot.

I enjoy these videos, but I am only really interested in the stuff related to MMA. These videos started out pretty interesting, but mostly they’ve degraded into mindless junk. These videos are more a showcase for Dana than it is about the UFC. Every once in a while they’ll have some really interesting backstate stuff, but lately that kind of stuff has been minimal.

Absolutely correct. When it was behind the scenes of setting up the events it was interesting and worth the time.
Now, every person who adds to the viewcount of these videos is just a hand stroking the cock of White’s ego.

I'm with ya Luke

I haven’t bothered to watch these in quite some time. At some point in the past it went from “behind the scenes of the UFC” to the Dana White show – and he’s not that interesting.

I see Dana has adopted the “all weights, no cardio” exercise regimen. It’s what us lazy bastards do because cardio hard.

That was pretty good because of the Matt Serra joke and a drunk Chuck Liddell. Cain Velasquez and Shogun make an appearance too. The practical jokes, as usual, were stupid.

OMG LOL. One of my good friends surprised me at the end of the video. His name is Mike he’s from Santa Clarita (by magic mountain) haha. Wow caught off guard. good friend from high school on a random DW blog. Small world. Shit could have been me.
