The show must go on. Cops for Convicts this Saturday Oct. 3rd, if your in the Tri state and want to see a train wreck this may be for you
The 15 bout fight card is scheduled for seven of the fights being amateur (cops vs. convicts) with the main card featuring eight professional MMA contests.
The amateur bouts will follow a three rounds by two minute format while the professionals will work under the standard three by five minute format.

I’m not in favor of using pro wrestling-style marketing tactics that associates what I believe to be a legitimate sport with the kind of violence that comes with the relationship between cops and criminals. I have no problem with ex-cons or ex-cops fighting in MMA; in fact I’m quite in favor of it since I hate cops and cons could probably use a good job. I just don’t approve of gimmicks like this.
