Shooto Pacific Rim Featherweight Title Fight
Koetsu Okazaki def Hiromasa Ogikubo – TKO (Punches) 2:08 R2

Sustain and Shooting Gym Tokyo's third "GIG TOKYO" event goes down in a few hours at Shinjuku Face. Not really a high-profile card, even by Shooto standards, but it ought to be a good show nonetheless. The main event bout for the vacant Pacific Rim featherweight belt is a matchup of two really promising young fighters though, and a number of fighters on the undercards of past "GIG TOKYO" events have been called up to the bigger "Revolutionary Exchanges" cards.

Here are the weigh-in results, and photos courtesy of Shooto.

Okazaki vs Ogikubo

is a great fight. Ogikubo has the ability to be champ or at least give Ueda the best fight he’s got. I just wonder if he will get past Okazaki , because hes the toughest opponent Ogikubo has faced.

Huge win – dap to Okazaki for making Ogikubo fight his fight.

Also, the Pacific Rim titles are nicer than the “O Rei do Shooot” belts.

Welp

looks like Ogikubo had a good first round than decided to stand and tradea little I just read. Sucks because he could have won this fight if he fought smarter.

Nice Pic btw

Did Ito get slammed in some amusing way again?

He’s been on a brutal roll.
