According to FiveOuncesOfPain.com, undefeated welterweight prospect Roger Bowling, who was featured here at BloodyElbow.com, has signed a deal with Strikeforce.
He's currently 6-0 in his short MMA career, finishing all his opponents within the frame of three rounds, most in the first round. His most notable win was against up-and-comer Shamar Bailey, who is currently 9-1 and fighting for Strikeforce.

Good for Roger
Hopefully this readies him for the BIG SHOW in a few years! This guy is a stud and should do great in SF.
See there are two contradicting reports from what I have heard. 1 is that Roger Bowling has to win his fight in November to get into strikeforce (in which 5 ounces is saying he is hurt..?), and the other one is what fiveouncesofpain.com is reporting that he has signed. Weird.
ZING!

Shamar Bailey, who is currently 9-1 and fighting for M-1 in the Challenge series.
Shamar Bailey fights for Strikeforce and will be fighting in the Nov. 7th CBS prelims.
Yeah, saw this earlier and forgot to change this.

No biggie. He did fight for M-1, just that he is scheduled for the Nov 7th card. A Shamar Bailey vs Roger Bowling rematch would be pretty big, as well as a War Marchine vs Bowling fight, since they have had beef all year long. Good stuff. I mentioned it here in the best up and coming fighters post. Askren should be next. =)

Yeah…. I KNOW HE FOUGHT FOR M-1, hence why it was in the piece. And that Best Up and Coming Fighters post is weaksauce… I must say. Great intent, but I need more than three fighters.. two of them who are completely obvious choices. I have roughly 10-12 on my list within every division, more to come over the next week.
