I'll always love Scott Smith for this

The average human being supposedly eats 8 pounds of food per day. Aaron Curry eats 8 humans for breakfast.

She’s gonna get starched unless she learns how to box ASAP.

Sup for the December show isn’t Josh reportedly not going to be ready to fight? Couldn’t Vitor step in for him? Also isn’t Shamrock supposed to be fighting Smith and Jacare or Lindland fighting Lawlor?
by nottheface on Oct 15, 2009 7:16 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Not sure about any of those. At this point, SF wants to do Josh vs Gil, but Shaolin will definitely step in if Josh can’t fight.
It looks like Shamrock vs Smith is a strong possibility, but nothing official yet.

Also any word on the Lashley-Waterman fight?
by nottheface on Oct 15, 2009 8:13 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Nope. Previous rumor was that it would be moved to the December show if they signed in time.

is Brett Rogers going to be in any commercials?? or is he not even a part of this fight?
my (UFC fan/casual fan) friend asked me last weekend when we were watching Florida-LSU what Strikeforce was, explained it to him and he’s like so Fedor is their HW champ and I was like no, and he’s like he’s fighting the champ? and i’m like no…my friend then asks how he is the best in the world then if he’s never been UFC champ and he’s not even champion in his own organization. I tried to explain but I don’t know if he got it. He just looked at me like I was fabricating who Fedor really is…

They will introduce Fedor first so the fan base can get acquainted with him, then they will get into the entire card. That’s what I’ve heard from CBS.

It’s completely stupid that this isn’t for at least the interim championship.

I probably should have replied to the guy above you who said his buddy was wondering how Fedor is the best if he’s not the champ.

Bobby Voelker (20-7) vs. Erik Apple (10-1)
Finalizes the Nov 20th Challengers show. Nice WW fight here, not to mention that Woodley will be the main event. =)

Am I the only one who doesn’t see any sense in putting Couture vs. Vera fight after Kaufman vs. Hashi. They shoudln’t be even on the same card. Even casual viewer would be able to tell the difference between real fighters and amateurs in this case.

Yeah bu
Brandon Vera’s girl v Randy Couture’s ex wife… bring it on ladies!

The order may not be correct. It wasn’t finalized when I put this together. I think Couture vs Vera will before Kaufman vs Hashi.

That last card is too stacked. They should save some for their next show
by HighNoon on Oct 16, 2009 5:21 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
They may have a 2nd show or bump the people that couldn’t fit on that card to their January show. =)

Just added to Nov. 7th CBS Prelims:
Louis Taylor (4-0) vs. Nate Moore (2-1)
An up-and-coming middleweight out of the American Kickboxing Academy Nate Moore will meet Chicago local Louis Taylor on the undercard of the Nov. 7 Strikeforce event headlined by Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers, FanHouse has learned.
Moore was a captain while on the Purdue University wrestling team and was teammates with Jon Fitch, whom he followed to AKA in San Jose, Calif.
Taylor out of the Chicago Fight Team will hope to repeat his former success at the event’s venue, the Sears Centre, where he was victorious in June 2008 against Adam Maciejewski on the HDNet-televised Adrenaline MMA 1 card.
