Heavyweight elimination fight #4: Brendan Schaub (4-0) vs. Demico Rogers (4-0)
Round 1: Low kick by Rogers followed by a sloppy shoot. Schaub spins out and gets muscled to the cage. They push off and trade punches. Rogers secures a much better takedown and they hit the floor. Schaub working from a very stingy guard. Rogers postures up and dives in but gets nothing. Schaub uses the cage to try and spin out but Rogers swings into half guard. Nice elbow by Rogers, who briefly relaxes his mount and ends up getting reversed. Schaub now punching from the top. Rogers rolls over and goes flat, allowing Schaub to lock in a guillotine and transition to an anaconda choke. From there, it’s academic.
Brendan Schaub defeats Demico Rogers via submission (anaconda choke)

1: People disliked him because how he acts in the ring – the showboating, doing Fred Sanford impression while Chuck is near-dead, grabbing his crotch – basically, classless stuff.
2: Nothing wrong with jumping on someones nuts once in a while, when it’s needed.

Is it editing? I mean, it’s one thing to take footage out of context. But we understand the context, and Rampage is still a f’ing asshole. I doubt they would really have time to reedit the entire series in between the resignation & premier date. Rashad is just an dick.

I was just referring to them choosing what footage to air. If they leave out footage that makes Rampage look more sympathetic, then that’s an editing choice, but I don’t think it’s character assassination since he did say the stupid shit and act like a tool to begin with. I’m assuming he has moments where he doesn’t act like an egomaniacal a-hole only because I don’t remember him being this bad when he coached before lol.
As far as re-editing.. I dunno. But if South Park can put together an entire episode that’s relevant to a topic that just happened, within a day or two.. I’m assuming they have enough time to re-edit the show before it airs.

Does anyone watch some of these guys scouting the fights and just wonder what they were thinking. Im not even in the house with these guys and i would have been shocked if Sims won that. And yes i realize thats easy to say in hindsight. Rampage and his coaches made terrible fight picks in the beginning of the season and it seems that they made some of the worst team picking in the history of the show. Did they just close their eyes and point?

What has come to boggle my mind is that they sent in Wes Shivers, and that guy was totally gassed about 2 minutes into the first round. I know they can’t make these guys get in shape in two weeks, but they can certainly not choose to send a guy in who has worse cardio than Butterbean!

Pretty good episode, I really thought Rampage was going to punch Rashad in the hallway there, it started out nice where ‘Page seemed to ask for help to ask why he’s failing then Rashad replied and of course Rampage took it the wrong way.. Pretty exciting, though all it did was make me feel worse that we may never actually see the fight.
Probably why Dana was so pissed that Rampage didn’t book the fight, the footage from the show probably had him seeing instant dollar signs.
