Wow, fantastic fight!
And a very even match-up as well.
We might see some flying leglocks in this one, as they’ve both gone for them in the past ;)
AWESOME!

Not a chance :)
According to article on mmarocks.pl
Mamed signs 3 fight deal contract, first fight is non-title middleweight bout against Santiago. Santiago didn’t want this fight to be for the belt.
Article says also about how this fight got signed. Mamed was scheduled to fight in Affliction with Lil Nog. Fight got canceled (so as Affliction).
Khalidov now weights about 86kg, one week ago he was 90kg.

Why would he not want it to be for the belt?
If he loses, is he going to feel like he’s the rightful champ? I don’t get that mentality and it seems to be cropping up a lot in recent news..
I STILL poop rainbows.

Yeah, I don’t agree with Champions not putting their belts on the line. Same goes for Mousasi vs. Sokoudjou, if they don’t fight to defend their titles, the shouldn’t be fighting.
I’m aware of the reason why Gegard/Soko aren’t fighting for the title, just don’t agree w/ it.
Here's my thing;
If you’re fighting someone that is not worthy to challenge for your title— fuckin fight someone that is.

Fantastic news!
It took them a while though, I remember reporting possibility of such signing some 6 months ago.
The fight is contracted as a non-title bout, it seems, which is a blessing in disguise for both. Santiago is coming back from an injury and a long lay-off, while Mamed will be dropping for the first time to middleweight and I still have my reservations about his conditioning training.
Either way, I hope Khalidov will make a splash in Japan; he has all the potential to be popular there, minus extravagant ring entrances.

Great pickup!
Though, this has been rumored for months and months. Mamed fighting in Sengoku means we can watch him on HDNet! Awesome news.
