i dont think i can spend 19 minutes and 29 seconds listening to this guy talk

I don’t think I can spend 29 seconds looking at the guy.

The problem with Jared and his daddy is that they knew nothing about the sport they were promoting. Elite XC used to have some amazing fights when they were religated exclusively to Showtime. Once they got the CBS deal they made every effort to turn a good promotion into WWE with the extended over the top walkouts (remember that first CBS card??) and the overall dumbing down of the sport with Frank Shamrock’s pre-fight analysis which featured the skeleten dummies and “keys to the game” with such insight as “punch him” and “take him down”

Gus Johnson (who I like in the NFL or NCAA) made too much of an over the top effort to call the fights. Remember him yelling “Rocky” as loud as he could when Seth beat Kimbo? Insane. Also, Mauro (who I loved in Pride) truly went too far on multiple occasions with the idiotic refrences and cliches and treating the sport like the XFL treated football.

While I llike Jim Lampley as a boxing announcer on HBO alot of people still recall him as the lead color man for the XFL… same can be said about Mauro/Gus/Frank. So bad.

Real quick. On CBS, I shot a nice mma 101 rules piece for the first CBS shows. The skeleton shit was done by showtime for the new strikeforce shows

I’m afraid to push play because the words skala, mma, and future should not be in the same sentence, ever.

"Jared Shaw Talks About his Past and Future in MMA "

Jared Shaw has a future in MMA?

Although detractors decry (MMA) as a brutal, bloody form of human cockfighting, aficionados know it is a brutal, bloody, totally fucking awesome form of human cockfighting. -The Onion

Why would anybody want to know what Jared Shaw is going to do with the rest of his pathetic life?

I know Scala’s supposed to be a douchebag and stuff, but he seemed honest and lucid in this interview. I didn’t follow elitexc too close, but it’s possible “Scala” as a promoter was just a public persona like Dana White has. Not that he probably isn’t a crooked douchebag, what with being a promoter and all.

Good interview thanks for posting. He’s right on about the Herschel Walker, and Jose Canseco non sense, and to hear him say how he was pushing for a Brett Rogers/Kimbo fight over Ken Shamrock is definitely a big surprise and a little hard to believe honestly.
I was completely unaware that he and Jeremy Lappen didn’t get a long at all, and you can tell he’s bitter about Kimbo not joining up with the Shaw’s and getting into boxing, but what are you gonna do he made his decision.

A little surprised so many people apparently didn’t watch the interview, but wanted to comment on it anyway.

That’s what I was thinking. If it’s true I gained a little respect for him.

The Gangsa’s getting fat.

“Kimbo’s in the wrong sport. There’s no doubt about that. Kimbo should be in boxing… The opportunity to be the world champion caliber athlete he could be would’ve came more in boxing. The money would’ve been there in the end in boxing. Really America is dying for a heavyweight.”

Brandon Vera has as good a chance of Kimbo in boxing as he has against Randy.

There are a few times during this interview that Jared Shaw doesn’t sound like a dumbass.

WOW I was starting to like him in that interview, thank god he started talking about his rapping career so I can go back to think he’s an ass.

There are few people

On earth that I would love to stomp a mudhole in then Jared Shaw. The guy is a peice of Fort Lauderdale trash that is now rotten and past his prime at what? 25 years old?

Can’t stand this guy. Remember when he was trying to peak at a nude Gina Carano as she tried to make weight? Dude was the VP of the company and he was acting a fool. One thing if a fan tried that stuff but you and your diseased fat daddy are head of the company that is trying to push womens MMA into the forefront. Way to knock it back into the stone ages,

Seriously, one of my favorite viewing moments occured when I saw him screaming “NO!!” as the ref ended that sham Kimbo’s career for the first time. Outstanding stuff really.

I love how since him and his lackey’s ruined elite xc everyone else is doomed to fail against the UFC
